I'm having a problem that I can only assume is a bug unless I'm missing something.

My outpost is coming along nicely, with 2 Wells, a Farm, a Grain Silo, a Cooking Stove, and the most recently added, Stone Mine. I have each job Shift+Right Clicked for my workers, and everything is automating as it should, from production, storage, and retrieval.

However, my new Stone Mine doesn't seem to be automating correctly. I built a Shack with a Raw Stone Storage Box nearby, and after Shift+Right Clicking 2 workers to the Stone Mine, once it reaches 5 units of Stone, my workers won't automatically transport the product to its storage box. I'm at a loss for why, considering my Grain Silo worker will automatically transport his full output to a Flour Storage, and my bread maker will automatically transport his full output to a Bread Storage.

I know that once my Stone Processor is complete, those workers will attempt to automatically retrieve the Raw Stone directly from the Mine, but regardless, if a Raw Stone Storage Box exists, shouldn't the Raw Miners transport their product to the correct box?

Do they have room in their inventory to carry the stone?

Yes, they all always have at least enough room to carry 2 units. Although since posting, I've now seen my workers randomly decide to start automating this transport for some reason. It seems completely random as to what causes them to sometimes fail automation, and other times succeed. The only thing I could see that maybe increases the chance of success, is when they are wearing a bag. But this could just be circumstantial.

I have always found it works best to have a line of three buildings, a stone mine , gap > then a stone processor > gap > then a warehouse building (shack or bigger fillied with building material storage crates).

With this set up the men running the stone processor go to the mine to collect stone when then need it and then drop the building materials into the storage crate in the warehouse building.

Getting this set up going as a priorty really speeds up the development of your town and further buildings.
