If you had the save I would ask you to upload it, since you don't Isuggest trying Ctrl+Shift+F11 to rebuild the navmesh in that area and see if that fixes the problem if you encounter it again.

Give me a minute, I'm having the same issue, granted it's on a massive, unfinished wall right now, my characters are running 'over' the top of the wall from the looks of it

mine sometime come in through the wall and out through the gate but it only happens 1/5 times :S
I restarted and built more walls and had the same problem. However using Ctrl+Shift+F11 removed the pathing issue that sent characters through walls. It also made all but one character stuck in place an unable to move. However picking up the stuck characters and putting him back down fixed this issue.

The stuck characters bug is known, but unfortunately difficult to reliably reproduce. If anyone comes across any steps to reliably get characters boxed in a location and have to be carried out, I am sure that would help Chris diagnose this issue and get it corrected.
Some bugs can't be corrected by simply looking at the code in its flawed state and are really only able to be diagnosed with a lot of manual labor, or having the ability to capture the bug as it happens on a developers machine. You have to love solid repro, no matter how convoluted the steps.

I am having mixed results with Ctrl+Shift+F11. sometimes it works, sometimes the guys still walk thru my walls. Now one thing i have been doing, is after i finish a wall, i press Ctrl+Shift+F11. That seems to fix the pathing immediately, but after i load, sometimes i catch guys "ghosting" thru the walls. My walls are very, very long however, so does that affect the pathing?
Its a shame, i built the walls to protect the bandits from my bloodthirsty gang, and they somehow manage to walk thru the wall and get killed.
