I've been having a very similar crash, seemingly frequently since the 'autosort' update. About one every two hours of gameplay on average, with varying frequency since previous load (I don't think that's related). I haven't played extensively since weapon crafting's first implementation.
Rapidly manipulating inventory items, in combat and out of combat, is freeze-crashing me to desktop. Haven't had a vendor related crash in recent memory (i.e. today) but sounds irrelevant, seems that the trouble in my case is inventory manipulation. If it's helpful, I'm very clumsy with getting things to go into just the spot I intend, thus stacks are often moved slightly in my pack, items fail to go in my pack and I have to try again, and occasionally they are dropped to the ground. I suspect the problem is related to one of these contingency features at this point. (i.e. the game calculating what to do with a misplaced item)
Yes I have had the game succesfully auto-sort my pack when misplacng items as well. I want to say a crash comes about the next time I botch a placement after a compulsory auto-sort, but that would be speculation, I'll keep an eye out for that.

I don't think it's because of trading... i think it's just a Crash that occurs random
For example in my game i had since last update 9-10 crashes... some with crash dumps some without... most of em occured while one of my chars was running from town to town, doing nothing besides running... there were no bandits or other things, 2 crashes occured while i was trading... Another one while luring bandits to townguards and the last one while just moving the camera while building something... Like i said, i think they are random/ without a special reason...
Just a theory... If i'm wrong, then i would like to hear the reason for these crashes.
To be on the safer side i made it to a habbit to save the game every 5 minutes
Thanks for reading

If he has something you want, then take it.
If he has a weapon, fight him.
If he ruins your life, step forward and retake it.
If you have a heart, then let him live ....

Ok tried to force it, no dice. Still crashing invariably and exclusively on inventory management. (As of this time. Ran entire map wiping all Holy cities, I'm getting no running crash.)
Checked integrity of files via Steam: 3 files were replaced. Checked again after, all files were good. Ran smooth as glass for three hours, then crash while mishandling inventory item (hacker dropped halfway into pack. This was easily the tenth time I had done this in this session, all priors were handled correctly by the program). This crash had no hangtime, went right to desktop within a second, seems checking integrity of files did improve something a bit. HOWEVER, another integrity check after the crash yielded 2 new corrupt files that had to be replaced.
Another item, after initial cash/integrity check (Or possibly just the reload), all bluprints in inventory were... erased? All turned into an ~ 1 value blueprint with no descriptive text.
EDIT: Aha! figured out how to attach these! Added the dumps that were made. One or both of them must be this issue.
