My guys haven't been responding to the "attack all" command since 0.62.0. But they seemed to do okay initially, noticing attacks and responding.

This morning though... I have to target people specifically or my guys will just stand around, getting stabbed.

It started during a BIG hungry bandit assault and most everyone is fairly beaten up at this point.

Edit: Maybe its because they're reluctant to jump back into the fight when they're so beat up?

There has been an old issue for a while where your chars won't attack if they're too far away, but this doesn't seem the case here. There has been another, more recent, issue with Attack All causing chars to run in random directions if the target is unable to fight back.
I have not seen the issue you described as my chars automatically fight back when under attack, so long as I didn't give them any other orders excepting Jobs.

I think the problem is they're reluctant to fight when they're all beat to heck. Once I got them all back in good health I didn't have the problem. Still, they should probably be defending themselves if someone is just standing there stabbing them, even if they are beat up. Maybe go defensive or SOMETHING.

Just encountered this problem, but my squad was at full health.

Occurred after two successive waves of approximately ~90 Hungry Bandits per wave attacked my squad.

Going to lower the population amount now. :D

EDIT: Bug occurs regardless of health levels on PCs or targets.
I'm starting to wonder if this issue is related to the "town guards not attacking" issue, as my group is currently following a hostile Dust Bandit group, and this is not provoking attack.
This issue is occurring randomly enough that it is not possible to provide a stable reproduce rate nor steps to reproduce this issue other than "Attempt to attack hostile NPCs" and observe the results.

my latest game is encountering this issue
i have tried many a thing to try and fix it but in the end.
Character Squad doesn't want to attack. I'm finding myself having to group everyone ( while paused ) then right clicking to get menu then attack all. ( because telling them to attack this target only means they won't continue attacking the others and stand there like idiots taking hits )
then my people will attack, but once the enemy is down. it stops. the enemy NPC's wake up and stand there, as do my people until i manually tell them to attack the NPC. ( i do have chase checked )

Had nearly half of my squad knocked out because they just stood their taking the hits ( using my Mod Larger Group Combat s v1.1 ) my people go down fast when 50 to 70 bandits attack you and your not fighting back.

Issues also cross over to medics not doing their job.

I had this problem as well.

I literally had to pause and click "Attack Target" every time I saw them stop.

My go to is to save and re-load. This seems to solve issues and it did for me the one time I had this happen.

I think the problem might be is the AI is getting confused at times of mass chaos, because one you first build your outpost, you are being visited almost immediately(or I was, atleast) and while fighting I am having to tell another dust bandit squad to get fucked and that's where the problem started.

Still fun as hell.

Same bug! This bug is really critical. If bandits go to your base and they want tribute, but if you decline with their terms, they will attack you, but there are bug. some members of your squad will not attack, but they will not attak for ever since this event. In practice: I send squad attack to enemy, they prepare for weapons but dont move, dont attack, dont block, no reaction. ://
Its ruining my game, please for hot fix! :!:

For the record, I haven't fought anyone except Sand Ninjas for 2 RL days now, and I haven't had this problem as of yet.
Perhaps it is only affecting those factions performing assaults?

Guys i spend two hours and i looking for a solution of this problem and its looks i found it. Go to your stat char and they will wrong(,my buggy characters have dexterity 648(maximum in game is 100, it means game cant work with this numer and mechanism of fight is broken), solution is there: you have to edit your save game and change your stat to normal(lower then 100 ). You can use for it Forggoten constructor set(it is in game folder) there is guide :

1) start up constructor set
2) click on open any(on top of window)
3) select your last save game
4) edit stats your buggy character to normal.

Tell me if it was usefull guys, maybe you have to change other stats, i am not sure if is only dextirity bugy! :!: :!:

sorry my english i am a man from Cave behind red cliff.
