ok so I have a squad of twenty and they were getting pretty strong so I tried the ultimate test, I took on a group of samurai as from what I can tell they are currently the strongest npc's, and after a few fights with them skills increased dramatically and of course I tried to gather the best armore available so this lead to fights of several groups, because one game issue is ***there are absolutely no heavy armore pants available for crafting*** so I took samurai armored pants (if the name is wrong its whatever samurai wear normally, and the police issue helmet. an issue with the police issue helmet and im sure this happens with other full face helmets ***the nose pokes through the helmet*** so if the character nose can be temporarily removed with helmet on? as it is not able to be seen well when worn even if you have high graphics on and the helmet has its "grated look" when in low graphics it just shows a solid panel covering for police helm. this also reminded me of an issue with the item armored hood which so far is only craft able, I haven't seen it sold anywhere ***some characters when wearing it have sections of their head poking out so it creates an armore/ skin mesh,*** im sure this could be corrected just by reshaping the hood as it kinda folds and dips in sections.
and lastly this is the main reason I am posting this thread. It involves diplomacy, after several battles I eventually took on every npc I found and currently have holy nation, united cities and dead cat all at war with me as well as traders guild. from my understanding import game is supposed to be a complete environment wipe as it resets npc locations/functions and wipes your research and buildings if u choose not to import them with your squad so I would assume diplomacy should reset as well. ***It does not reset, and there is no clear way to regain diplomacy point with factions.
I saw a thread saying to heal the factions members but this only resets "currently damaged relations" so if its -50 and ur recent attack lowers it...healing them only regains to to - 50, this leaves me with almost no trade options available and my game is almost goal less now as I have no way to get money sense you cant pick it up off enemies and I cant trade. please asses and correct these issues when you find time. diplomacy taking priority.
*bugs*diplomacy issue when importing game + a few other bugs

only other way at the moment is to start a fresh game.
but not sure if it carries over the relations as well.
If you're using steam you can simply fix this by deleting the data folder then revalidating your game cache files.
non steam i believe requires a complete reinstall.

this will reset my diplomacy but not my saved game files?
Make a backup of the Kenshi folder, kommadant wrote: this will reset my diplomacy but not my saved game files?
Then delete the Kenshi/data/ folder.
Use Steam to re-validate game files, and it will re-download the data folder for the current build.
If anything goes wrong, you still have the backup folder readily available.
Non-Steam fixes of this manner simply require a backup of the save folder,
Then re-install Kenshi,
Place the backed up copy of your save inside the Kenshi/ folder, et voila!
