Lo-Fi Games

The past 3 days my game has been suffering from some kind of insane FPS drop, basically as soon as I load my game it goes to about 1-3FPS if that. Strangely enough, on max settings with population and squad set to 4 it would only start to drop below roughly 20FPS when I was attacked in my outpost by 50+ NPCs I didn't have an issue till recently.

-Settings including resolution have been dropped to lowest settings with no change
-Graphics driver up to date
-Reset/Restart of machine does nothing
-Kenshi is the only game suffering from this
-Verified Integrity of files on Steam
-Tried Importing game, with and without buildings/research

OS: Windows 7 Professional
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Series
RAM: 8GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 Classified

Where do I go from here? lol


EDIT: Importing game without buildings seems to help considerably, but there is still an issue.

Did you play Kenshi prior to the 0.65 update?

I saw another post with the same issue, and we mentioned to wait it out for a few minutes then the game will return to normal (idk if it has been resolved yet).

Two things I have noted, which may or may not be true, is that the population sliders appear to only have an effect upon world generation (either with Import Game or New Game), and Kenshi appears to be the most stable when both sliders are set to 1.

I've been playing since 62.1, no matter the duration of time it does not sort itself out if I wait, even if left running for hours.

I guess I could try setting the population sliders to 1, but at this point there isn't much left in the game for me to do other than start taking on cities lol

I haven't been able to accurately research this, but I do believe the Population Sliders only affect the # of members in Bandit patrols.

Another thing I've noticed in the past, but haven't tested recently, is the setting at launch to choose between Minimum System Memory or Auto Hardware Manage Memory may also have an effect on your performance.
Mine if currently set to Minimum System Memory, and the only lag I see is when I am zooming from my raiding party in Cannibal Village 2 to my outpost party south of Traders Edge.

Should be fixed in 0.66
