Lo-Fi Games

Upon clicking "ok" in the settings/startup screen my screen goes black (or a black window comes up if in windowed mode) and I get the standard "The game has crashed please do what I'm doing right now".

I have installed directx9, physx.

gfx card is: XFX Radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0, 2xDVI-I, HDMI, DisplayPort, 765MH.
OS: Win7 64 bit Ultimate ENG

I have gone through every step on the known bugs and fixes with no results.

All that said, I am no computer wizard so don't rule out "wtf, how could you do/not do that you idiot?" on the user end as a possible problem.

PS. Thanks for making my dream game, it may not work but I bought it all the same (because it will work even if I have to buy a new computer).

Don't know about your problem, but i had to quote you on that last sentence the Kenshi community is full of fanatics

Then let me quote from the about section:

Now let me quote myself, every time a new game has come out the last ten years:

"Why the fuck do I always have to be 'mister save the godamn world' or 'The chosen one', why the fuck can't I just be a young peasant with ambition or a poor hedge knight looking to become the evil tyrant of a small land holding?!"

Seriously, fuck these godamn "epic" conclusions and just give me a simulated world where I can be a total bastard and a minor noble of no special significance.

Fixed it!

Turns out there is a compatability error between the newest ATI drivers, an ipad app called "Air viewer" and the game.

Air viewer basicly turns your ipad into a third screen for your computer wia wifi, however the newest ATI drivers thinks this screen is present even when you aren't running the software (despite not listing your ipad/air viewer on the settings screen).

Kenshi identifying it as a third screen was how I found out it was even happening, what exactly caused the glitch I don't know but if you have an ipad then any apps/software you have installed to make it function as a monitor for your computer could be the problem.

Solution: Uninstall the app related software on your pc and reboot.
