Lo-Fi Games

I found a dust bandit camp while I was starving. They were kind enough to let me cook my raw meat in peace.

After cooking one into dried meat I tried taking it into my inventory (it also counted as stealing). It crashed the game on me, so far has been repeatable.

I get this too. I saved next to a dead animal and a campfire and both times I looted the meat and cooked it I crashed trying to get the dried meat.
