Hi nordlenningen, could you post your system specs too please, sometimes when loading a game i get slight graphical issues, i.e no ground then odd buildings then nothing, but after awhile it loads up properly.
What GPU (Graphic card incase you didnt know) are you using, How much ram you have that sorta stuff
Also did it install properly?

Wow lol alot better than mine

need to charm the missus i think lol
Think i shall leave this one for Chris i am absolutely 100% unsure of the problem, GPU looks adequate, Ram is fine, Processor seems good (2nd Gen Is that SandyBridge

). And your HDD looks good.
Any chance you could upload the system.cfg file aswell, see if any changes have been made in that at all and also on the first screen before game loads what settings have you got on there? apart from that im not gonna be much help im afraid.
A couple questions from a newbie

I got the game just yesterday and hadn't gotten around to trying it out until today. So far this seems great, but for some reason the ground appears be invisible? Does anybody know how to fix this? I tried restarting and re-installing without any luck. Also, just wondering, are there any sounds yet? I knew about a lack of music but I wasn't sure about sounds.

There's no sound altogether, be it background music or sounds of katana cutting down valiant samurai.
Wait for chris to see the log, he'll be sure to find the problem, in the meantime try updating direct x (even if you think it's up to date) use the install that you can find in the Kenshi/dependencies folder (you can install everything there actually)

i dont know what happened, version 0.21.0 worked fine, but when i updated it got messed up somehow.
oh, and is there supposed to be other people than guards, enemies, swords for hire and shopkeepers at this point? i never had those either
oh, and i just performed a clean install to see if it would help, but it didnt :/

hey, just wanted to let you know that the problem persists in 0.23.0 as well if that would narrow it down

oh, and no rush, it looks like youve been doing amazing things so far and i can wait a little longer

try this file and tell me what happens. Unzip the material file to /data/materials and replace the old one.

ok, so i just reset my computer, and now the ground is black, and when i copied that av terrain thingy to the designated folder it crashed upon starting the game. i dont know if this is gonna help or not but here you go, the crashdump for my favorite chris. haha

yeah that avterrain file would be out of date now, dont use it, it will crash.
So its black now instead of invisible? Interesting.
