I don't see the problem with cats. It's good imo.

Better than galleons or names like that, which we'll end up shortening too gals anyway...

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.

Need help? pm me or any other mod.

I really like it being cats. There are thousands of games with gold or coins or something like that. Using cats is much more creative. And I'm sure there are no other game or any contest that is talking cats as medium of exchange.

Which is good. Anywhere I here or see talking about cats, I know immediately they are talking about Kenshi. When it is something that's personal for Kenshi only, it becomes a legend. People start to combine cats and Kenshi together. These little details are always fun :D

Hey, in fallout the currency is caps (as in bottle caps) and metro 2033 is bullets.

In my opinion cats sounds pretty good. It just goes smooth in dialogue.

I'd rather pay in cats than in clapmids or clewtons.

I actually really enjoy the name cats for money. Makes the whole killing people for their armor and weapons then selling them for a currency named cats, seem kind of silly. I like it silly.

You seem to be fixated on this currency name. It is just a name, they are not physically trading live (or dead) household cats as currency. It has as little or as much meaning as the name dollars, roubles, euros, Rai-stones, holy water silver dollars, space quid or the pound.

These are all real earth currencies (except in the case of space quid which is a concept from a university for a standadised currency if we ever become space-roamers).

The pound is an odd name. They are not literally trading measures of weight though, it is simply a name and we know that.

I fail to see what your issue with the name of the currency is. It is a name, it is short and easy to say and to be honest you don't even need to refer to it by its actual name since this is single player and you will never need to write it or speak it out loud if you don't want to.

They're called cats as short for Caton Credits. Has no one caught onto that? :P

Why thank you. I'm honored. I tend to think my posts look like cheeky mumbling with bad English. I'm glad not everybody think the same :D

I like to think that we're trading real cats. Someone should make a mod where you actually have cats following you around, and when you pass someone with a lot of cats, you steal them, and that person gets sad cause he's not rich anymore and his cats are gone.

I agree. I had never even thought of the animal until this guy brought it up. Even now I have to actually make a conscious effort to think of pieces of currency as animals, its just so stupid to think that the name references actual cats. But then again I speak multiple languages so I can get used to visualising the word as it is meant to be. If I couldn't then my brother would be called sewage in one language and my best friend would be called meat. Of course...their names don't mean that in the original language and who is stupid enough to call out to them and actually think about the alternative language all the time?

Yes, to be honest I never payed any attention to what the currency was called until now, I just looked at the number of monies I had rather than the name.

At version 0.30.0 there were parts of dialog where people (hirelings if I remember right) were talking about catanas. So cats would mean currency named catana.

They were already called Catan Credits by people for hire in the game

Or... maybe the people who refer to them as catan credits are confused, because the currency is quite obviously kitty cats. Cats. Lets pretend they're Cats and not Catan Credits.

... Cats.

(kitty cats)
