Ok, I've had to shave recently for work but I plan on wokring on either some movember goodness or just changing it to beardvember (ohh I'm subtle).

If any other forumites are participating I'd love to see some self snapshots of your glorious achievements. (feel free to hide the face if you don't really want to be known on the board. I only have interests for your beards/'staches anyway.

I'm half assedly participating. Not because I care but rather a distinct lack of caring.
If I make it to the end of the month I'll put something up I guess. Probably just look Amish again though.

Ahh, i shaved in the end. its hot here and I ended up scoring a date with some chick from work. Down to my regular stubble again. Weak, I know. I took a photo of the 2 week growth before i shaved, but it is fairly weak for a short time. I'll likely throw it up on here if others contribute something.

EDIT: Also, that gif above scares me. Its kinda creepy how nothing else moves.

I prefer the full beard. Wenches, giant axes and ale > Economy

Plus I'm pretty sure a valkyrie will come for me when I die.

Edit: I should never have denied the goatee. Clearly I have angered some god by doing so because last night while trimming my beard I accidentally killed half of the mustache portion of my beard. That said I had to put the old fellow down so that I could start from scratch. R.I.P old friend. My face feels naked now.
The beard is a powerful ally and a terrible foe.

Sadly, I'm one of those people who can barely manage an it-stache (read as information technology goatee). I can't even grow hair on my philtrum (the skin just below the nasal septum) due to a facial surgery I had. So I comfort myself with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yVPewAybZw.

Oh also my non-beard hair is 15-16 inches.

-It was no "accident", the Collective Guild of Goatees (a splinter group from the Federation of Facial Hair) does not take kindly to mockery. (Next time, they will take an eyebrow along with that beard)

Don't worry, there are a fine collection of prosthetic goatees online that will make you feel diabolical (or at least a smart ass) in no time!

So you can't grow hair on your upper lip? Damn. Did you have a cleft palate or something? You can always rock the beard with no 'stache look. Some people can pull it off really well.

Taken with my shitty phone camera, which warps perspective because the lense is on the side, yet adjusted so that the center of the screen is the center of the view, at work.

The philtrum is only the little indented part below the center part of the nose, the septum. And no, I just broke my nose several times as a kid, leading to a massivly deviated septum which had to be corrected.

A ginger. But at least no one can notice the little hair gap because they are too busy being repulsed by your mega ginger beard.

Yeah my beard is kinda reddish. The rest of my hair is dirty blonde-brown or so blonde that its transparent. I have a ginger sibling and mother, so I guess that's where my beard comes from.

That is not bad at all, unless you were hoping for a toothbrush mustache.

If all else fails, grow the Abe Lincoln beard !
