Combat animations are still simple in the alpha version of the game. and I was hoping in the future they would add more animations. As for the idea of the new animations, I also thought something cool that can improve the game play by a lot. I was think about changing the animation in every 5-10 weapon skills (Katana skills, heavy skills, Etc.) The animation also changes how you fight. The better animation you have, the better the chance to strike an enemy.

For example,

if you have 10 Katana skill,
You can do 2 cuts in slow speed.

If you have 20 Katana skill,
your able to do 2 cuts in medium speed.

When you reach 30 Katana skill, the animation changes
your able to do 2 cuts and 1 side cut in medium speed.

This keeps going until you reach level 100 ( MAX LEVEL )

Your mixing up your art assets with gameplay mechanics. I think you're asking for different fighting styles with different animations for them.

He's just saying it would be cool to have faster attacks as your weapon skill increases, seeing as in the game character attacks are a bit slow

oh, the animations could probably be sped up eaiser than making new animations for that though it might look silly. attack speed is currently more about attack frequency it seems.
