I've been playing this recently. It is maddeningly difficult to get into and very complex at first but is an incredibly fun little realistic-survival game set in iron-age Finland. Has a 10 in-game day demo (which is shit although I dare you to survive that long your first time) and an absurd method of alpha-funding BUT I can recommend that people try it out.

For those of us less scrupulous members there is a slightly outdated version available from everybody's favourite swedish website that is virtually the same minus some hotkey rearrangement, skill changes and some much needed information display. I used that version as a proper demo before buying the lifetime registration.

EDIT: And apparently sometime in the coming month or so they will temporarily change into a donation based system where you can get the version for free and feel free to donate. This is not out until next version and will only last for a few versions but if you wanted to wait and don't want to pay like $3 then it could be the way forward for you.

Huh, seems like a good game. Ok, I got confused in YOUR text, is it out yet, is it still a WIP, does it has a site and if yes what's it called?

Well, I've been playing it recently so it must be out.
Its been 'in-development' for about 20 years. This means though that there have been script re-writes and a bunch of major updates as time has gone on. This guy was indie before it was cool

The game is incredibly detailed although not too demanding on your processor. Also modding has very recently (within the last few versions) been released. It is still basic and related to crafting and cooking mods only but there is more planned for the future.

I've seen it before, I just forgot the RPG part :P. Also, what do you think of doing a let's play series, but this time, with your most recent character instead of creating a new one? And also, do you have a Kenshi let's play series?

Good question...when DID I start lets plays? I've not really bothered ever making a youtube video, mostly because it is easy to sit back and criticise other people's work but difficult to make your own. Maybe I should one day, despite my terrible voice.

I beg of you, don't use your voice. Just use annotations, like madmenyo, one of my favourite youtube channels that just recently went back to use annotations instead of speaking. But seriously now, no commentary, use something else to express yourself.

I have been thinking recently of how I could do a kenshi LP via expressive dance. I'll send you my results.

Pole dance? Or are you more of a ballet kind of person?

Back to the trails----> It's amazing how the project has been going on for over 20 years and still they are working on it. I don't know if it's good or bad thing though

Also, I downloaded freeware version from their own site. I don't know if it has all the features or not but at least yet I haven't noticed any limitations. So maybe there's no need to go pirate. I'm gonna test it now and I'll be back if I have anything to say.

New funding model. As of the lastest version a week ago they are doing fully free and donations accepted. This is the best time to get in and try it since you get the full version and can keep it forever. The game is fully fleshed out although they are always planning to add more stuff. The next 4-5 updates will be free I think. After that they will go back to the old pay model.

It takes some effort to try it though. You need to be a certain kind of person to really get into this sort of game. I love the whole survival thing though. And fuck zombies, this is real survival.

I'm back after some trying. I loved everything I saw until I realized that not all the key bindings work with my laptop. It's hard to play survival game when the button needed for eating doesn't work.

I play on a laptop and shift+E works for me. What were you trying to use?

I've not run into any issues using a laptop. The only things I can think of are that you need to use shift to hit the + key and you can't just look behind you, you need to spend a few 'turns' pressing left or right to look behind you.

You know, this game is what I named my project after.

Intacilis Regnum - Intangible Realm (Latin) - which is parallel to Unreal World

Great game! :D Love.
