Hello! I love kenshi and another game i also spent a lot of time with is mount & blade. In M&B u can start new game with the same char and in kenshi with the same squad. What suprised me with kenshi though is that when i reset with same squad faction relations is the same. I thought this was an obvious thing to be reset but it is not. Problem now is i have a killer squad but im hostile with everyone. Why isnt there an option to reset relation? Is there some way to reset relations via text files etc? I dont wanna start over just to not be attacked in cities...

I dont think its a bug since I read faction relations would not be reset. This seems odd though and all my pillaging will be remembered always. Anyhow does anyone know a way to reset the relations manually? I wanna try some trading but everybody attacks on sight.
edit: Also just to be clear I had the same issue before update too.

Yes, the relations should not reset. You can heal relations by bandaging and taking to beds. However if you raided towns. It would be difficult. You might want to start over.
edit: a mod that reset faction relations would be pretty easy too.

Is there some thought behind not resetting relations? I mean it feels weird the option doesnt exist. I have 16 elite soldiers with great eq i dont wanna reset. But if I knock everyone i see out and take their weapons i will regain relation over time? I mean up to this update there wasnt much to do except raiding towns for eq so it feels a bit stupid i cant just bribe them or something, i have tons of cash. Now i cant even recruit slaves for my mines...Scotterius wrote:Yes, the relations should not reset. You can heal relations by bandaging and taking to beds. However if you raided towns. The idea I think is generally that the importing squad thing is more meant to cure some issues than as a method of playing the game on a regular basis. I myself have a fully bedecked squad that is hostile toward the Universal Cities faction so every time I start out in Brink I have to kill all of the guards, usually I lure them out into the desert first, if I am quick enough I can avoid having to battle the shop guards right away.Drinkycrow wrote:Is there some thought behind not resetting relations? Okay maybe I misunderstood the function of resetting. I thought it was like mount and blade and u get a clean slate. Anyhow having problem with imperials, holy empire and united cities. i tried first aiding but really not helping too much. Wish i could put them in my own bases beds-Clawdius Talonious wrote: The idea I think is generally that the importing squad thing is more meant to cure some issues than as a method of playing the game on a regular basis.
