I'm not sure if this counts as a bug or what. But it seems REALLY hard to get the menu to 'follow' and such to stay up. You hold the right click, but it doesn't often stay there or let me select any option from the list. Or am I just doing something wrong? It just seems like most of the time it's just a case of I hope it finally lets me select the option. Or keep trying until it works.

Paused or not makes no difference. Talk is the only thing it lets me do since it's a default for clicking on a non-hostile NPC. Follow? Sometimes yes, most of the time no.

Did you try holding the right click button down on the NPC, then, while still holding right click, drag the cursor down to select the action, simply clicking once will only do the default action.

Let me know :)

Done it, usually makes no difference. Half the time it blackens it out. Usually this comes up when trying to follow the Merchant Caravans I sign on with.

Yep, I notice this too, even whilst talking to an NPC that moves, if the NPC walks too far away the dialogue screen just disappears. :(

I do find it easier to select and focus on a target when zoomed in, to be honest.

I found how to work it .^_^

Right click + hold.
Then the drop down menu pops up, right?
Mouse over the name of then unit at top of the drop down menu.
Release your right-click.
Now you can move up and down the menu freely to left click as you please.
