Heyla Folks,

Iam searching for a way to allow a player-squad to attack each others. The intention behind this idea is personal freedom to enjoy the game in your way. Your squat members could train with each others, do tournaments or you could just tell your own story.

I searched the board for comparable solutions but all I found was this old bug about hostile squad members: http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... =15&t=1281

I tryed to provoke this behavior by changing the faction relation of the nameless for a game-startoff to -50. I thought this would simply make squad members hostile to each others, while still beeing controlled by the player. In fact this did nothing.

So I searched for other solution, kind of a tag that differs the player faction/squad from NPCs. I couldn't find anything.

So I searched at the GUI for some settings or hints whichever enable the option "Attack Unprovoked" to understand how the game checks the difference between NPCs and PCs. All I could find were cosmetic contents.

I bought the game just today and this feature is the only thing Iam missing to make my experience with Kenshi just perfect. I enjoy this concept of freedom which divers so much from all those big commercial games. I loved this feature in Baldurs Gate and I like to have it in Kenshi where it would fit much more.

But in the moment I guess this is just hardcoded and Iam not able to change those settings.

Does anybody of you know or think of a way to provoke this behavior? I will check any suggestions.

Thanks for reading, Cheers
Wu

The only way I've ever seen it happen is if you go into the map editor with shift + ctrl + F12. Once you do you can attack your own squad. You can even make your guys attack themselfs lol. I haven't tried it for awhile though so I have no idea if that was a bug or if it's meant to do that. Hope this helps

Well, it would be nice to have a mod for this either way, maybe a "spar" action with each other, but the two will gain XP extremely slow, maybe a lil slower than dummies, unless its a higher level vs. lower level as in a "mentor" training. Think that will be possible by any means?

there is no way to enable you to attack members in your own squad at this time except thru the ingame game editor bug.

After fooling around with the ctrl +F12 noticed a couple of things.

Causes you to be flagged as enemy to everyone, and even after you close it, you can still continue to attack each other. Kinda breaks the game when you activate it... So a mod still would be nice if anyone can make one

I really tried a lot of achieve this. But I couldn't even figure out how to reproduce this bug exactly.

For example, I thought this bug would be a false assignment to hostile faction. So I simple made a mod were every faction is hostile to you and add you to one of those factions... didn't work. So this is not a faction bug, it`s something else.

Also I thought it`s maybe possible to add the attack button to the gui when selecting a squad member. But at the moment I don’t see any possible way to achieve this. All I could figure out were optical changes.

Well, I did a lot more, like a hundred of possible sequences to invoke the bug (no I don’t overstate *g*), but at the moment Iam hardly able to remember everything.

So like Hatsune said I don’t think it`s possible to mod this behavior at the moment cause it`s simply hardcoded.

It`s sad for me not to have this feature. Iam searching since a while for a game with this opportunity with a kind of freedom to create your own adventures like you did when you have been a child. But that`s just my personal wish and I totally understand this is kind of special and there are lots of other thing to do first. But the point that Kenshi is an indi game opens up the opportunity to have this in the future. Whether it`s this feature or the opportunity to mod this. This could hardly happen in a big mainstream product.
