Since the 58 update my walls no longer work. Is this happening to everyone, or just me? I haven't seen anything about this on the forums here or at steam. I have tried repathing with ctrl+shift+f11, but this has not helped me.

The walls for the cannibal camps are working fine however...

I think you need to give more details, not working how? People walk through them? And is .59 you meant i guess.

People can and do walk through my walls. I meant .58 because that was when the problem first began, and this last update did not fix it. I was not sure if this was a common bug or not. Is anyone else having wall trouble?

Its not just "walls" that they are walking through, but also buildings too. Its crazy, the door will be locked, and they will run into the building through the walls, but not be able to get out because the door is locked.

I am not sure if this is a common problem or not, so i have held off on reporting it as a bug, due to the more important issues involving cannibals and crashing.

OK, they are not running through my walls, they are running OVER my walls. Everyone does this, including my guys.

try reimporting your game.
Import with tech and buildings
rebuild navmesh
save game.
exit game
restart game
load game like normal
if still happen try rebuild nav navmesh one more time.

OK. I will try that. I only did the nav mash thing once. So it takes multiple tries?

I will let you know how it goes.

That fixed it.

Rebuilding the navmesh the fist time didn't have any effect. When i imported the game, still no effect, but when i rebuilt it after importing the game, the walls and the buildings started to work normally.

Thanks!!

I am glad i posted this here and not under bug reports. Not only was the problem fixed faster, but i didn't bother anyone important with nonsense on my side. We should sticky these directions either here or on the steam forums in case this problem happens to anyone else in the future.

sometimes it can take multiple tries.
it just depends on how picky and finicky the game wants to be on your machine.

I believe that i may have found a culprit: Foliage. After building a new base in desert without any rocks, foliage, plants or bones, I have impenetrable walls. I will try importing this a few times to see if it affects the walls at all.

My last base the walls worked fine, then in the updates, new rocks, grass, and trees were added. After this i started to have some crazy path finding issues. I noticed that new trees were also in the walls.

Before i had a chance to import my new base, i encountered the wall bug again. This rules out foliage. One thing that both bases have in common is uneven wall designs, uneven walls, and lots of windmills.

However, it only took one nav mash remap to fix the bug, and it did not take as long to reload. I assume that this is because the new base is more smaller and compact.

On a good note, i am enjoying the attempted raids by the cannibals.

I have had the same problem with my men and the enemy alike just running over my walls. I have reloaded the game and imported my files quite a lot and am still having the same problem. To make it worse the path finding in my base is now all messed up. Ex. They will take the longest rout to get somewhere and then will refuse to go inside the building. Is a hassle indeed.

You may need to do it more then once too. Neko has some good directions on what to do.

I have found that smaller bases, made on flat even ground, and are not made on top of plants, tend to work better.

I recently imported my game for this update, and it thru the pathfinding out of whack for my smaller base. HOWEVER, one use of CTRL+SHIFT+F11 fixed it. So far, smaller bases tend to be better for pathfinding.
