Trade Relations, Embargo, and Privateering

What if trading with one faction decreased the reputation with another? Say if you supplied the bandits with their weapons, and somehow everyone else found out.
Or something like faction A has a trade embargo against faction B, and you trade the restricted goods with faction B. Faction A probably wouldn't like that too much.
There could be a way to block certain factions from trading with your own outpost. I'm guessing the current system will be binary - private for when you want nobody else to enter your outpost, public for when you want anyone to trade there.

I suggest that even your faction could set its own trade rules against other factions, such as which items you wish to ban trade with. This would likely only be useful against factions which you have control over, such as through treaties or force.

You could also completely cut off a towns trade with blockades. Removing their supply, slowly letting them starve.

Privateering would also be useful. You can pretty much be a bandit and take what you want from any wandering merchant you meet, but what if it were used more as a viable strategy in cutting off resources to a faction while attempting to remain anonymous.
How is it that a faction automatically knows you've murdered their people if it were in the middle of nowhere with no surviving witnesses? If one victim of the trade caravan got away, or if you were close enough to any town so that anyone could have seen you commit the act, it would make sense for your reputation to suffer.

agree with this completely have control over what other factions get would be awesome and I thinks its planned.

but I say how would they know you were the one who killed everyone if the guys that attacked them were dressed in clothes that were from different faction?

This thread specifically is talking about specific actions pertaining to affecting diplomatic relations in a certain way, so I'd rather make an informal, unofficial petition to hear some more details other than:

• Faction AI and interaction with your hometown, so for example a major faction might send a diplomat offering trade or demanding taxes, bandits may send a squad demanding money or goods and threaten to come back with an army etc.

I just feel that there are ideas that can be too specific when there is a much broader category to speculate.

In a manner, yes. Lol. I follow his twitter page too, as that is where he posts most often.

I'm not requesting that he post in this specific thread because that would just be too demanding. Would much rather just await another big paragraph of updates/things being worked on after he adds turrets and continue speculating and pitching more requests based off the direction he wants to go.
