Gonna miss that old web design, it was very clean, new site is cool too.

Some suggestions for the new site:
The "buy it now" and "download it now" buttons don't need "it now" on the end, why is that there stop yelling at me. It's not like anyone assumes the button without that addition will "download in 2-3 business days" or something. it also doesn't clearly mention the existance of the demo which is an important marketing tool.
News posts listed side by side makes their order less clear than they could be. the "blog" page is bad, tons of wasted space due to post sizing differences and stuff and requiring a click to view each and every news post. Just list the news there the normal sequential full width and length post way it's so much better for a blog. I recommend a similar approach with the front page news section
Favicon could be better (i'd recommend a bloody K with a sandy background)
Why is the dev blog page titled "indie dev blog", it makes it appear as "indie dev" in my tab title, a clearly misleading eventuality that makes me confused and think i opened the about page or something.
Overall the website is a bit wider than most, doesnt work so well on the 4:3 screen i use for web browsing (as opposed to the primary 16:9 for other purposes)

Im sure my nitpicking has contributed greatly to the web developer's sanity.

I'm gonna echo Mattk50 on this one, but rest assured, both of us have the best of intentions!

It's probably a cultural thing, but in NA the "it now" can seem a bit much. People fiend over obvious clarity, therefore the "Download it now" could be rephrased as "Download free Demo"

I'm personally a fan of the new extra wide webpage, but i'd like a more "infinite scroll" feel to the news page when scrolling down. the one news blurb and then FIN makes it feel smaller than what the front page was.

The only thing I don't like at all is that the news are at the bottom of the page AND you only see a really small part. Of course it's just short scrolling and one click, but still..

I will miss the old design, most likely because I really was used to it.

Not gonna lie I'm lazy and really liked not having to click to find the news... But don't change it for peoples laziness. We'll get used to it soon enough and grumble when it changes cause we're used to it

I do like it's shiny, shiny newness however

The new web front seems to be mimicking the Google play store, and other "mobile friendly" web fronts, which actually explains the "download it now" button. Mattk is right though, the download button needs to be labeled so people know they can get the demo and full version by clicking on it.

I preferred the old site design too, much tighter. I've seen many sites switching to this kind of "huge buttons, large text, lots of wasted space" style, a bit windows 8-like imho. Last one to fall to the trend is Paypal, they went from a nice professional-looking site to something kiddie-like. Is there a name for this new design/trend?

Nice observation! I think it has to do with the fact that many people use those sites from mobile devices with much less screen real-estate, so when you actually shrink all those massive bubbles and buttons down to say a half dozen inches instead of 19-24 like most people have, it all starts to look like it makes a bit more sense.

That however is why there are often separate mobile sites that have a prefix "m." before the actual name of the site. This in theory would allow for the website owners to maintain their bubbled up mobile version of the website without it bleeding cringe into the more desktop friendly environments.

Anyone else having troubles getting to the main page? I'm gonna assume it is people refreshing for news about the update.

It was down for me as well for quite some time, i'd say a couple hours, but it then randomly came on by itself. No sign on the update just yet, still waiting on the 3GB unpack upload shenanigans, so it must be coming in sooner than it has been previously :P

Splitting the news up is kinda annoying. I wish there was another option that was "All News".

I really dislike the new website. It's slow and heavy, and i hate all these flash or whatever windows not allowing me to middle-click to open a picture in a new tab etc. Not only Kenshi's website, but nowadays everyone seems to "upgrade" to something with a "modern high tech touchpad" feelings.
