I came to notice that if you don't like to adventure, you can't upgrade your tech. So, what if there was an artifact seller that appeared at a random town once a week. The people in the bar will mention when and where, such as " Did you hear, someone will be selling lost technology in "Insert town" town. In this age, what good will come of new technology, when we can't even find enough to eat?"
These artifacts, like science and engineering research books will be sold for a Large sum.
Such as 20,000 for a science book, 40,000 for a engineering research book. In this way, people who really don't have an interest in exploring, don't have to!

except, you have to go exploring to find said towns first.
so your stuck exploring no matter what you do.
even if you had them come to the players base, the player has to explore to find a spot to make said base. so its all a moot point.
and the Dev wouldn't like that, as he tries to make the player not sit and turtle inside their base in the first place.

Eh, sounds like an easily modifiable thing to do in the FCS to me.
That would make no sense.
You can't have everything delivered to you it's a survival game. to survive you have to do something not just sit around and wait for someone to come and feed you. The things that you want delivered are the most precious items in the game. They cost a lot because everyone needs them to survive. Why would they bring them to you and make your life easier instead of using them for themselves and making their own life easier. Plus they are very very rare. If you want that level of comfort you have to do the work to afford it and that means go out and find the resources you need.
If you don't want to explore that's fine. You can work harder instead of smarter.
But don't expect someone else to do your work for you.

Yes and such mods already exist on the workshop if you really want. Or you can make your own. I don't think that should be a vanilla thing however.RighteousSinner wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 8:48 pmEh, sounds like an easily modifiable thing to do in the FCS to me.
