Howdy
I doubt there's many people who'll encounter this bug. Even I, myself, created it rather artificially by the use of Cheat Engine.
All I did was change the day number. I was curious to see what'll happen if the 'day variable overflows'.
After reaching the threshold of somewhere about 3500 days the screen goes all funky. The trend is consistent with the day variable - merely reverting it back a notch makes the screen alright again.
Let import game stay and bring back its 'reset day', perhaps?

Interesting. Could somebody calculate how much time it would take to get there w\o cheats? I don't know what timescale Kenshi uses

by default the fcs says an in game year is only 100 days. i've never noticed an effect from changing the number, but it is what it isSol Lignum wrote: ↑Wed Aug 08, 2018 8:19 pmInteresting. Time to leave Kenshi afk for a year in real life on 4x to test this.
I updated to 98.48, laughed at the patch notes, then immediately tested in a new game for certainty.Fixed world apocalypse if you made it to 6:04am on day 3495
Sadly, no, it is not fixed. Switched to day 3496 and the screen went funky yet again
Naturally it reverted when I lowered the number. Did not touch anything else, no mods, yada yada yada.
Just changing that value using cheat engine bypasses the fix. If you were to save and load at that point it would resolve.
My apologies, then. I did not think to do that.
I tested it, and yes, after reloading everything went fine. Tested it all the way to the variable overflowing, in which case the day simply changed to 0 on reload. Everything's well now.
If I could figure out how to lock the thread/mark it as fixed, I'd do so.
