Hungry Bandit Raids are too much at the moment, possible bug?

So I will start this off quick and simple, in less that 10 in game hours, just shy of 170 hungry bandits have raided my small outpost. Now I am no stranger to difficult games, and this applies to Kenshi. HOWEVER, this is still only day 34 of this run, with a group of 9.
On top of the swarms of bandits at a time, Dust bandits, and Holy Nation raids are also hitting. Giving my people 0 time to heal, and prepare. I have managed to survive and beat back each attack though, now (playing this atm) down to my main char. and my Skeleton and hive (S= Low level heavy fighter and H= ranged) so I have had them avoiding conflict. Literally on my screen there are two separate bandit groups converging at the same time adding another 25-40 combatants. PLUS nearly 30 in my god damned food shack, who are not stealing anything... just waiting for me to stir them up.
Ive had massive bases, small ones, in between... Never have I EVER been raided this much in such a short period of time.
P.S. Ive already cleared out 3 bandit camps nearby, and have UC allies who SHOULD be sending reinforcements but are not. So I don't know if this is a bug or not... or just terrible base placement by me but this is insane. I asked for a very hard run... and I got VERY HARD run indeed.

in Kenshi. location is paramount
where you setup base can very well determine the amount of reaids you get. some areas are more heavily affected than others. while others you will be lucky to get a raid.
