Defibrillator and checking pulse expanding the medic skill.
Wouldn't it be cool if you could bring back the your dead with a defibrillator but the medic needs to be a high anof in the medic skill and it would be cool if you could craft it when ever that skill gets added.Plus checking your heart rate and stuff. I dont know much about doctering stuff but i think these ideas would be pretty cool.

Yesss... a bit problomatic even if it alien hardware to bring someone back to life if they are just flesh and bone and been watering the surroundings with blood for the last couple of mins.
would´t this be like driving a car without fuel of any kind?!

only in the battlefield games a defibrillator bring someone back fully healed from a .50cal bullet to the head...
Like others have posted. a defibrillator alone would be a bit unreal.warguy777 wrote:Wouldn't it be cool if you could bring back the your dead with a defibrillator but the medic needs to be a high anof in the medic skill and it would be cool if you could craft it when ever that skill gets added.Plus checking your heart rate and stuff. Blood/Fluid transfusions makes more sense to me. Since the only weapons are swords and the setting is a desert, blood loss, shock and dehydration would be the top three killers.
In any case, medkits are pretty damned powerful right now.
AHA! I know very much on this topic!
defibrillators are meant to "reset" a heart after it experiences ventricular-fibrillation (not necessarily atrial fibrillation, which isn't usually fatal) . Ventricular fibrillation is caused by damaged heart tissue, which can be a result of direct physical contact to the heart, loss of blood (and therefore loss of nutrient supplies to heart cells), and diseases affecting heart tissue or blood. Seeing as how this isn't a game, I suspect diseases won't be included
.
Therefore, we can conclude that defibrillators can only be useful if there isn't significant blood loss or damage to the chest/heart area. I'm not a complete professional, but I've done a lot of research in this subject before.

I honestly wouldn't want Defibrillator's in the game...if someone wants them bad enough they could just mod them in (right?) what would fit the setting much better would be CPR, but the resuscitation chance with CPR alone is low, it's meant to just keep oxygen flowing to the brain so that you can buy the person enough time for defibrillation without permanent brain damage. (I know some of this from memory and the rest of it I looked up
I've been trained in CPR ^.^ but it's been a while so sorry if there's anything incorrect, and please do correct me)
By the way, training changes occasionally. For example, it is theorized that the mouth-to-mouth breaths make CPR more deadly than not doing CPR, not to mention that it's unsanitary. Still, unless CPR brought people back to life, it's not what the OP's asking for. The OP's just asking for a way for people to be resurrected.nuget102 wrote:I honestly wouldn't want Defibrillator's in the game...if someone wants them bad enough they could just mod them in (right?) what would fit the setting much better would be CPR, but the resuscitation chance with CPR alone is low, it's meant to just keep oxygen flowing to the brain so that you can buy the person enough time for defibrillation without permanent brain damage. My vote would be for fluid transfer of a highly trained medic while in the field. Defib no thanks. You would then have to get into crafting the IV tubing, IV needles, filters for person to person blood transfusions and add it to the medical skill tree. I like
