I don't feel like this question is important enough to start an entire thread for... But since there's pack mules... and i'm assuming some caravans/wandering merchants will have pack mules... can you steal these pack mules? (like when everyone is asleep or just kill everyone then take the pack mule? that would be great)Chris_The_Great wrote:The large outpost is the ultimate building, its not meant to be in easy reach.
Its not finished enough yet, but:
1- You will have pack mules to help you
2- You will be able to build a small shack and mine your own stone and building materials, then you can use that to build up the larger buildings.
Noob at Building
I played for some days and was able to do it.Bonzai wrote:I'm not so smart to kill a shopkeeper and get away safely...I was testing the trader backpack and didn't work for me... eveytime I buy they don't stack, if I try to stack myself they just change places like in any other.
EDIT: Found the problem, my trader's backpack is an "Old trader's backpack" from .22 its heavier and does'nt stack
Once I had a place I wanted to build upon, I built a shack.
I used the shack as a base of operations. Inside of it I stacked loot for selling all at once, kept beds for healing and a prisioner cage for keeping leaders with bounties [Jounins and dust bandit leaders] until I could take them to town.
I stablished myself between Brick [starting town] and Trader's Edge.
I rarely bought equipment apart for my men with the exception of some clothing and armoured sandals. The items I spent the most money on were large backpacks and trader backpacks.
I usually keep them stored however, only use them on big trading runs. Nowadays, all my characters carry a standard small backpack and I have my Medic carry a large traders backpack (unequip during combat).
I used the small shack to store the materials I was buying, until I had all the 200 units.
Then I turned around the rock, started hammering and here is my Outpost: http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... f=5&t=2419
After achieving this I took my entire squad out for an exploration run. I have not added anything to my outpost yet. Just knowing new places and scaring some loot and cash.
Gotta tell you man, that Skinner's Roam is hard to find, specially when you are being chased by 50 bandits or more, from different factions.
I suggest caution getting near Eyesocket. That palce is no town and there's hordes of bandits running around.
I have 16 men and I'm the run because my army is exhausted and injured from fighting and I can't find any backup or town.
Its some great and wild adventure for us now.
On a path to martial balance, somewhere, in a dune near you...
