The cliffs are fine, and since this "fix" is mostly for mobile/integrated video chipsets which are in a small minority, I'd give up on the irk.toxiciron wrote:It really does look good! From here it's less a matter of playability, and more a matter of "it looks slightly different"
My one irk, and this is basically negligible to me, is that there is still a slightly funky edge on the cliffs... and the cliffs also seem a bit dark, but I actually don't even remember how it's supposed to look

I think that looks pretty close to what my game has always looked like.

Ok, it will be in the next update, until then you can still replace with the last avterrain file I uploaded to get it working
Hi, I see that the previous post is like 1 year and a half old, but I encountered the same problem when creating a new game.
The AVTerrain.cg file previously uploaded is outdated, the refering file beeing now terrain.hlsl in \Kenshi\data\materials\deferred and the code within beeing rewritten, the previous changes in AVTerrain.cg can't be made in the .hlsl file.
An in-game screenshot :

Is there anything I can make to fix it ?
Thanks.

If you own the game on steam try validating your game cache, that is a solution that could fix it if not try turning off your shadows, Would suck if chris has to do all that over again to fix it
I tried like 20 new games, I'd say 1/3 had this problem. Even with a save/load, the bug is still there.
So if you encounter that same problem on a game creation, exit the game and create a new one, it should be ok.
I think it has to be fixed, but as it's not that frequent, there's no particular hurry.
EDIT :
With a new game, all seemed to be ok. Then I decided to move between two town, and the second had the black color issue... :/

So I did what you suggested :
EDIT2:
That did the trick, thanks Deathhood98 !

And it worked. I'll try now to create new games to see if it happens again.Deathhood98 wrote:If you own the game on steam try validating your game cache, that is a solution that could fix it if not try turning off your shadows, Would suck if chris has to do all that over again to fix it
