1) Permit player controlled animals (such as bonedogs) to consume bodies to feed themselves.
2) Allow us to issue sleep orders to our animals directly, and for them to stand up when we issue a movement order when they're sleeping. This one is the biggest one, because it fixes a big issue with game starts or playthroughs with a single human character and an animal.
As an example, suppose you start a game with a human character and a bonedog. What happens if the human character gets enslaved? Unless you have a base set up with an animal feeder, that dog won't eat. It'll starve, and there isn't a thing you can do about it except escape slavery to feed your dog. The dog wouldn't be able to buy food, it wouldn't be able to hunt creatures and loot/eat them itself, it wouldn't even be able to enter buildings to steal food if it was an adult.
So I propose allowing them to consume bodies, either KO'd or dead - even if it's just them chewing off limbs in order to break them off, and eat them separately. It would also provide a solution to clearing a large amount of bodies from your base after a raid, in addition to allowing us to live out our sociopath fantasies.
3) Allow certain animals to bite down onto characters and drag them.It would just save us the extra steps of having to pick up our animals and place them in bed, and to go and pick them back up because they won't stand up on their own if they're sleeping in a bed already. They do already have sleeping animations when placed in beds which is a nice touch, though I suggest rotating them 90 degrees so they're properly aligned with them, in the future.
4) A true/false field that dictates whether or not an animal can always enter buildings.Perhaps limit this by age, or something like that - but it would be really awesome and add a bit of viability to allow your dog (that, if the ability was limited by age, would have grown from a pup to an adult with your character) to pull their unconscious owner to relative safety, or to a faction like slavers which will at least stave off certain death.
This feature might require a bit more work, since I don't think the functionality for animal characters to drag/carry exists yet.
5) Fix the issue with calculating damage reduction for armors that are placed in the backpack slot.A last minute idea, but it would be nice to be able to always keep my animals inside if the need ever arose.
Thanks for reading. There is no animal armor that exists in the game right now, but could be a lot of room for it if this issue is resolved. I've made an wolf armor mod for our canine friends but more often than not, they end up taking something like -4 million damage and an insane amount of bloodloss when wearing the armor.
