im noticing a lot that if i have a number of characters in or near some of my buildings, and then i take some other characters to the other side of the map, then either return with those characters or just jump back by right clicking the people that are there, buildings often become intangible. Basically, everything in the building still works normally (chests, etc) the people still walk on the floor of the building and stuff, not under it or anything, and it looks completely normal.
However, if you order them into the building from outside they just walk straight through the wall, ignoring the door, going up and over walls of its an outpost. its a bit of a problem because you need to save and reload when this happens or suffer bandits running through your walls and whatnot, but considering it only happens when you split your squad up its not the worst thing.
Intangible (Not invisible) buildings bug
ah, so that's how I prevent that from happening? Thanks c: But sadly, I have one guy I send alone to go trade and such XD So all I have to do though is reload my save? Not bad... :3 Thanks o:Mattk50 wrote:im noticing a lot that if i have a number of characters in or near some of my buildings, and then i take some other characters to the other side of the map, then either return with those characters or just jump back by right clicking the people that are there, buildings often become intangible. I'm having trouble making this happen. I move far away, click back to my characters, but I don't get the problem. Am I doing it wrong? Does it happen every time?
Did you move your characters far enough away that the game has to load to switch between them?

It happens almost every time. basically, i leave 5 people inside or outside (usually this happens when they are outsideactually ) the building, take two to the actual other corner of the map, then walk back or click back and its bugged.
Oh, and i've had it where 1 of the buildings in my 2 house group was bugged and the other wasnt, but its been the other way too.

Its strange because the map area shouldn't get unloaded if you have characters there.
Can you try sending me a savegame?

^link to the save. just right click on any of the back 5 and it will zoom to them, and you'll be able to walk through the buildings walls and everything.
Also, in the 2nd building there theres an issue with the cages. The cages that had people in them are now appear blank when you click them (and the people are no longer in them).

The same thing happened to me but under different circumstances, after a import my squad and buildings. I had used my outpost to block one of the entrances on to the mesa I was building my base on.
But after said import the blocked gully became usable as a back door into my outpost, npcs and pcs would run under the outpost then jump from ground level to the floor inside. Everything inside was still usable though.

I tried your savegame and got the bug. I then build some stuff so that the pathfinding mesh re-generated and fixed the pathfinding, then when I went far away to Ben and came back again the bug did not occur.
So either I'm still not doing it right, or I have already fixed it at some point in my current version.
