Hello,
I'm still rather new to the forums, and the game in general. I was think and this might be something I'm able to do later on with the construction kit. But I'd like to see a larger map, I'm not saying the map size now isn't bad or maybe me suggesting this sounds a bit mad, but adding a larger map utilizing the area You(We) already have in the game and adding to each new section it's own biome I saw this idea in the form of adding more maps, but what if You(We) just increase the size add a Woodland biome, Water biome, and some other kinds (I know there's alot more just can't think of them).
Then for the two additional skills I've not seen this in the request area, and I've not used the search so do forgive me if this has been asked for but adding something like a horse back riding skill give the players squad the ability to transverse the larger map size with horses, camels, or even griffons(Modding maybe required for that last one). Then with this new skill adds horse back fights allowing you to when the game gets more into it and larger wars are cast upon the world Horsemen to bash down the enemy lines. Give the player squad increased speed and harder hits but making the Horsemen larger targets and more vulnerable to areal attacks. Then it would add not only to what you do having to think about armoring your squad of horsemen but than the horses themselves and causing the player to think about what these people are carrying as it can slow down the charge.
Lastly The last thing is Faction ideas and this is something I know I can do just by messing with the construction set and already planning a mod is adding into more depth of the factions themselves. I know the game isn't finished But I'd like to know where the sand ninjas came from do they have a home? a village of their own? and if so are there more clans of ninja? It's probably something I picked up as a kid but I'd also like to see this desolate place more at war. Say you have these united colonies and the holy roman faction they seem to be at war but I see no large scale fighting(Probably due to come later and that's fine). What I'd like to see is if there are more ninja clans they each have their own villages, and they are at war(Reason unknown) and have each group/faction that exists be at war with its pallor opposite. And say if you want to be an ally to one of these factions because you understand their cause you can do that by going to war with whom they're at war with. If you want to become a ninja clan which is diffidently something I want to have my tiny village become you can do that by appeasing one of the other great clan's and you become allies with them. allowing you do do allied mission with against the other people you are at war with.
You can also have diplomatic missions (something I saw in the construction kit I dunno have in depth it is yet) where you and your allies sit at a table in a random village of yours and discussion what to do next during the wars. About trading materials, like food and building supplies. and have a chance to bring one of the people you're at war with calm down and have peace for a certain amount of days.
(God forgive the shit storm I may have created with these ideas, I'm sorry for not using the search function and will take any ridicule that will come with it.)
Map, 2 additional skills, and Faction ideas.
Chris has stated there will be no mounted combat, so don't count on that.
There will however be a larger map, I believe the current map is 1/4 of the size the final map would be.
There will be different Biomes.
Factions will interact with each other more in the future. Combat and politics between them should happen, and Chris mentioned that even bandits should have a home base/camp that they come from, so I assume the same will be true of Sand Ninjas.

Chris in his Nov 10, 2012 update wrote:I'm making some plans for the overall world design at the moment. I consider the current world map and population a placeholder really, so I'm gonna give you my ideas for the final thing. Its not what I'm working on for the next update, I'm just sharing my plans:
1. Firstly, I'm going to make things more dense. A smaller size of the map will be loaded at one time, which will allow for more NPC population, encounters, and towns can be closer together. There will be less uneventful long-distance running.
2. I'm going to change the actual terrain map itself too, there's a lot of map not in the game yet, so I'm going to add the cool new areas, size down some existing areas, and try to have less empty space like the endless dunes and the flat zone in the south west.
3. The world map will have more distinct zones. These zones will have different faction domination, races, different danger levels. Some zones will be impossible to survive until you are very strong. Eventually these zones will also have different creatures and biomes (eg grasslands, marsh, snow possibly, etc).
4. I want some zones to have less of a focus on towns, and more on ot!her stuff. Like ruins, creature nests, natural formations, things to explore.
5. The different map zones may have rare resources that are vital to certain areas of research. This might force you to build a protected mining outpost to further your research, rather than one single mega-base.
6. Originally I was going to expand the world map to be 4x bigger, but I might reduce that now. As the game has a focus on building static structures that's going to take away the practicality of long-range exploration, you aren't going to want to travel vast distances away from your home base. A smaller, denser map will also mean if your characters are split up across the map they can run to each-others aid a bit easier, so you can send out rescue parties, reinforce your HQ during attacks etc. It will still be a bit bigger than the current map however.
7. Once I have all the new character models and armours, the factions will be overhauled. There will be a greater number and variety of factions and they will be more interesting.
Thanks for the quick replies, is there an area where all of the things the creator has stated are and are not going to be in the game? for future reference I'd like to know weather or not it's ok to state some idea's and not look like a total douche doing it.
