What are the features?

Hello, I'm just a newbie playing through the demo. I'm enjoying the game so far, but all I have found that here is to do is searching for bandits and leading them to guards to fight with. So only 4 of the entire skills listed are usable? And when you try to talk to people all they say is "Get out" "Don't steal anything" or "If you're hiring, go look in a bar".

I think I'll be buying the game tonight, just to help invest it's advancement
