I was just wondering, are there any plans to make it possible to wear both a mask and straw hat at the same time? It just seems like something that you should be able to do. I understand there are lots of things more important, but just wondering about it... and it seemed like a good small talk topic :P

hopefully chris sees this, its problably that he will, but being able to wear a coat AND some armor could be good to man, i just dont like having like some pieces of copper on me, i would rather use a cout over it, maybe the coat could be just a cosmetic, that means no stats, just for fashion 8-)

Actually, that idea appeals to me as well, unless the armor mesh ends up changing or they make some more advanced versions that look nice or cover more area which would make it look better. And I really want a left arm protector xD

But yeah, coats, or maybe some kind of cloak/cape. I tried modding and making my own versions of this, and the actual modding worked. The problem was that I can't edit the inventory screen to fit an extra slot.

This was one of the best things that I saw in Terraria. I only wish more games did this. In anything where I want to roleplay it would be wonderful to not have to wear the armour of ugliness +1 when I much prefer the coat of awesomeness. Having armour underneath to provide the bonuses but being able to equip an overcoat or something in another slot but without any bonuses being changed (purely cosmetic) is wonderful for getting a bit of flavour into somehting where there is obviously a BEST stat piece of equipment.

Yeah...I could add something like this in EVTPOP.mod for you. At least an armored jacket for now. I do like the idea of an extra slot for capes, or those back flag thingies, or shoulder ribbons and other decorative things you could deck your squad out with.

That would be pretty good. But what I was more hinting at was that a character would have 2 'Body' armour slots. One would be for equipment and the other one would be for display on the body/model (but give no stats). If you have played Terraria you might get what I mean.

I havent played Terraria, but I knew exactly what you mean. It is essentially an accesory slot. It could be a tabard, a sash, an array of medals,

Not so much. here is a crop from a screenshot.

Image

In green on the right are all the equip slots. That is all you need to put stuff in. Exactly the same as how kenshi works. Appears on your model, gives you stats. Nice.

On the left in blue are the 'Social' slots. This can be left blank if you want and then will have no effect.
In this screenshot though what has happened is that the dude has equipped hair, t-shirt and pants.

So his character appears to be wearing no hat, and a matching, casual set of shirt and pants. But the game sees that he has FULL Iron armour equipped and gives him all the stat bonuses without actually displaying it on the character.

Basically, this is something that a modder wouldn't be able to do anything about. Chris would have to actually program this into the game (hopefully in a little drop-down menu or somehting to reduce clutter).
I really wish they included this concept in more games like Skyrim and Fallout 3 and others. there is Nothing more fun than fighting the final stage in fallout 3 dressed in a business suit.

He already has two layers with the Shirt/Armor layers. Wouldn't be much of a stretch to add other layers to mix and match items I imagine.

There are many attachment point not being used, like gloves, eyes, back that I can see in the editor. I would expect more attachment points in the inventory screen before long. It kind of indicates what Chris might be planning, which seems to be a lot more than we have now.
