Intrafaction Dynamics

What I believe would be beneficial to the game would be not only interfaction dynamics, but also intrafaction dynamics. What I mean by this is that factions can get stricken by unrest, rebellion, and civil war. Now, I'm not sure if this would work, but I think that if these kinds of events can happen to a single faction, it would add much to the whole "dynamic, changing world" aspect of the game. This is just me thinking out loud, but hey, I think it might just work.

If Chris can find a why to import this into the game, I'm keen. I love the ideas of civil wars/unrest/recession and so on amongst a faction. It keeps things interesting and will help prevent the whole "I'm going to join this faction because it's the best."

You know what else wold be cool? A revolution, total chaos and anarchy, you can kill anyone for no apparent reason - technically like every single other revolution
. Also there should be a succession problem in a monarchy, like if there are 3 different heirs that are not of royal blood they should fight for the throne. Also there should be like "cleansings" like killing all caucasians, asians, non-humans, killing most males or females or people from a different religion or a certain religion.
"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful."
