Hello All,
Couple quick questions:
1. At this stage of the game can bandits damage/destroy/loot/take over my outpost? I took all my guys on a "Warabout" last night and when I returned I was surprised that nothing had happened to my completely undefended public outpost.
2. If I have guys inside a building, the door is closed and the building is set to private can they be attacked by roaming bandits? Basically I want to know if its possible to leave a few "crafter" type characters at base undefended.
3. What skill level will "Training dummy mark 2" get my people up too?
4. Other than building materials and things to sell, is there anything I can craft and use implemented at this time? (asked this before but I haven't done much reading here in awhile)
Ack forgot one:
If I purchase a building in a city can I build interior stuff in it like training dummy's and beds?
Thanks everyone

You should be able to build inside a purchased building in a city, it isn't exactly safe to leave crafters unguarded in your town, and currently the AI doesn't burn down your buildings or anything of that nature if you leave them unattended. In the near future we'll be getting armor crafting, and once all of that is in I believe Chris will be adding some sort more dynamic gameplay relating to towns and their defense. He's mentioned that we'll be able to manufacture turrets at some point, I imagine after bows and arrows are implemented, and then you should be able to maintain a small guard. I believe that we may get to control additional squads before long, to help with the need to guard and work on so many things in our outposts. Not sure about the dummy, I think 10 attack skill? I know that the basic dummy will get it to 5. It should say in the description before you research it I believe.

1) They will (currently) only damage your building's doors when there is something they want to kill inside. Otherwise, they will not do anything to it.
2) Yes, but if you lock the door they will first have to break said door own (which can take a huge amount of time, and if you notice you can repair it while they're damaging it). Setting it to private or public does not affect bandits.
If you do not lock the doors, they'll just open them like gentlemen.
3) 10 attack.
4) No, not currently. But things are planned.
5) Yes. Anything that can be built indoors.

Click on the door. It might, or might not, have a cost to buy option.Argus wrote:wut?Clawdius Talonious wrote:a purchased building in a city
I've tried looking this up on the wiki, but couldn't find it; how does one buy a building in an NPC city?
Some do, some don't.
