Weapon Damage Lowered

I've just downloaded the new patch, and all of my weapons that previously would cause 1.0+ damage (for instance a Horse Chopper I had which did 1.3 damage) now only inflict something like 0.28 damage. Any suggestions as to why this might be, or how I can go about recovering them?

Thanks :D

This is most likely because of the weapon overhaul he did, removing the old types and such they got randomized new types, which is mostly useless. (my 36k Plank with 1.4 cut/1.2 blunt became 0.22 cut/0 blunt  )

This is just my theory though.

It is likely because all old types of weapons were converted to "Old Eye Weapons" versions of their former types, the odd part is that the best weapons were converted to the worst and the second or third best stay about at the level they were at previously. So, I'm not entirely sure the odd conversions were intended, but once weapon smithing is squared away you should be able to create nice weapons pretty quickly. On the bright side, you'll gain skill much faster with horrible weapons

I'd purchased a few high quality weapons (Truth Mk #3) for my best men in the previous patch, doing damage in the 1.3-1.5 for katanas, 1.5+0.3 for the sabres and a plank at 1.1+1.4, and in the newest patch they're Old Eyes quality, making them among the worst weapons ever.

I'll just craft some new ones, but just wondering if all Truth Mk #3 weapons were replaced or something

Strange how MKIII seems to still be the second best weapongrade and those weapons stats still say MKIII, yet are worse than rusted junk.

Funny, I had most of my guys carrying two weapons, a decent one in the first slot, and a crappy one in the second slot (what are the multiple slots for, anyway, and why can you actually put two smaller weapons in the first slot- does that do anything?) so after the patch, in many cases, I was able to flip-flop the first and second weapon and be pretty much where I was!

MKIII Fragment axe: 2.4 blunt/something cutting.

Now: 0.0 blunt/0.03 cutting

Yeah, I guess it's because of the refangled weapon qualities. At weapon craft 14 you can get a new quality that outclasses everything else, and at just crafting #10 you can get the same weapon.

From what I've gathered together about this, all of the weapons that were generically placed into the game appear to be "Old Eye quality", which means just that, they're the first weapons ever to be placed in Kenshi.
Sadly, everyone was forced to utilise "Old Eye quality" weaponry before weapon crafting was implemented. I'll only get better with age. :)
