Maybe my eyes are deceiving me, but I am quite certain I saw a Dust Bandit that I had previously vanquished and rolled, who had been running away from trouble, find himself running back into my camp, herded by some wandering traders, where he was surrounded, and, like magic, suddenly manifested a Plank to start defending himself with! I am sure it wasn't on his back prior to that (and I didn't have any to hand out at the time)- he was in his boxers, as I remove the pants of minion enemies I vanquish and just drop them in the minion's inventory (so I can tell I have looted them at a glance). Needless to say, he did end up falling again and I was able to snag his Plank. Still, not sure if that's a feature or a bug, but it amused me immensely!

A plank? That's an odd weapon, since I don't know of any enemies that spawn with one.

Did you accidentally drop one at some point? Because that's the only explanation I can think of, if you didn't have one in a weapon stand or something similar.

I think he's talking about the clubs...

But as stated above, I believe you probably had dropped a weapon (or a dead corpse was around) and he looted it. I have seen NPCs loot weapons off ground for sure, and ALMOST positive they will loot a weapon off another dead corpse if they do not have one.

Now if that is true, that is _extremely_ cool- I _want_ to see the NPCs going around looking bodies and such! It is quite possible I dropped a Plank- I was having some issues with grabbing large weapons from the crafting bench and putting them on somebody, so I could well have dropped one or more- and the guy was close to my HQ when he did this! How very cool!

I've dropped clothing from bandits while dealing with inventory issues, and I will attest that NPCs (specifically Holy Empire guys) like to pick stuff up.

Heh, yep. I used some hemp bales for decoration last week and one of those holy garbage collectors came by and started helping himself. ...damn mooch.

They won't loot each other yet, but it doesn't seem too far off.

Haha, Holy garbage collectors. I like it. I haven't seen this yet myself, then again I hardly ever drop loot on the ground. Sounds fun.
