Thoughts on Crafting

Not sure where to put this but

When you craft Certain items like

- Weapons
- Fabric
- Bread
- Steel Bars

Even if you have all of the available storage chests built they don't auto remove them so production stops until you manually remove the finished product and put them in a storage chest.

For Weapon Crafting you can't scroll down the weapon list to build so you currently cannot build Short-Katana's Industrial and one other.

It s known issues, for now there is to "auto storage" n this materials, like wit building materials and those around, maybe we have this fixed with the adition of "jobs".

How do you make better items? I can't craft armor at all and my created weapons blow. Or is that something that is not added yet?

Clothing and armor crafting is still not implemented, weapon crafting is, you simply need to research higher tiers of benches and weapons themselves.

There are no higher tiers of workbenches. I can only create four really shitty weapons. I just assumed the tech and crafting hasn't gotten that far since i have researched everything... and the only things i can make are two clubs and two toppers or something. Needless to say they suck, and i need better weapons at this stage of the game since everyone out numbers me. How am i to raise an army when they all start with crap skills and attributes. I only have like 8 of my 16 people able to be in combat and not die.

Love this game - i say this because it may sound like i'm bitching, but i'm not.

You ahve everything researched in all of the areas? Because if you do you should then have to build the more advanced crafting benches adn be able to craft more advanced weapons, more than the clubs, fragment axes, large ammount of katanas and so on, go look all the areas of research may you missed some, because even without or with the benches, it will always show what you do craft, just say that you do not possess the means for it.

I have researched everything i can possibly research. None of the other windows have anything for me to research. I can't build anything new. The only thing i have available to build as far as weapons go, is these four basic crap items. Maybe i have a newer version and things were removed.

I can't build most of the buildings i used to have. Or research most of the things i had in my old save. I just assumed they were removed for some reason. But if anyone figures out why i can't access the things everyone else seems to be able to let me know.

The only building i was able to upgrade was my stone mine... and i remember before being to upgrade a number of things multiple times. The game seems to have less content than it did before.

You have a new save than when you had such? Or you have imported squad, because if you did one of those of course research will be deleted, if not i can t help you on it as i don t know what happened there, can only preusme ghosts stole your stuff

You have to build the next tier of research bench, or upgrade your existing bench. To research tier 3 you will have to have researched tier 2 and then constructed a tier 2 bench, and so on and so forth up to tier 6 which is the highest level research bench at the moment and is required for the best research, currently there are 14 levels of weapon research IIRC with the highest end weapons available being Edge V.

As for my thoughts on crafting, it's actually a very new feature in the game, and as such still has some issues with regards to storage being worked out. Armor crafting will be in one of the upcoming patches, and since Chris likes to play his cards close to his vest, he could very well be working on it right now. Then again, we could get walls in the upcoming patch, or hand to hand combat, maybe even female character models, marriage, reproduction and killer robots with laser death beams... Although I'll admit, the last one is unlikely.

Yeah i felt like a total moron when i realized the one thing i hadn't built was the next their in research tables. Anyways that aside... the one thing i thought might be cool is if the character's skill level with crafting affected the weapons quality.
