I saw a thread for this a long time ago i can't find it now. not even the posts i had in it. I'll keep it short since im sure there is another i failed to find.

Tips on how to get money? Selling equipment doesn't yield much, it takes far too long. I suppose i could take a sell stuff i make, but again that is a lot of time and micromanagement. Then there is bounties, which take even longer than the previous two methods.

by longer i mean amount of time it takes and the payout at the end. Player shops, trading and such aren't implemented yet... so how do players get their money? I have seen a few screenshots of players with quite a bit of money.

I started as the Holy Sword
yes everyone hate me which is a good thing.

Well for me i went and hire a second character.
and went to the trading post at the top. The Guards will attack all enemies. pretty nice indeed
This will take awhile but decent payout, 1-2 hours?
so i have one guy with 2 LARGE traders backpacks.
and i have the other guy with nothing on beside maybe a shirt lol Run and lure all the baddies to the
trading post to be killed. So back to the backpack guy have him come and pick up all the weapons. Stacks
and go to the npc to sell them all, keep in mind that u can sell entire stacks so a stack of toppers X6 will sell as the stack ( hold shift and then place shop inventory )
hungry bandits are no good. weapons are about 20 gold?
but here a second though on those poles.

They take up 1 line about 5 squares i think? stacks to 6 and weight about 2-6 kg . so that would be a nice weight training idea. load on poles on the backpacks and dont wear the backpack so u have the full weight.

well thats about all i have atm.

If you have bags, merchant bags makes easier for the tradging, if you don t want to be taking time and micromanaging, then you need to look at the ones which pile up automaticly, building materials, if you don t plan to build nothing in the close future, keep them pile, then get as much as you cna within bags and sell them, as they store automaticly you just need to go to their storage to pick, go sell, be back and repeat process, tho this is not a viable thing if you build a lot and plant to o soon, because bread would be the best, weightless, you can take loads of it with fast pace, problem is it doesn t auto store.

Besides that trading, bounty and looting, i know no other way for now.
It s Hbrown!! Gotta get some pies!

Buy bags to carry stuff with, buy robotics parts, narcotics and luxury goods when they're around 80%, and sell them at 100+%. A little exploration will find you a good rotation, and currently the economy is not dynamic. This means when you find a place that sells low or buys high for what you're trading, they will currently always do so. Once you get a bag for everyone and a reasonable amount of cash, make one bag full of water and alternate who is carrying it, whoever is carrying it should also pick up another squad member. This person will have their strength gain up, ideally at least to 50% faster increase speed. Ten minutes or so per character will result in a much better ability to carry trade goods, and wear armors or wield heavy weapons. For increased Athletics on everyone else, micromanage them and literally run circles around the character(s) with the heavy bag(s). Either that, or have them run wind sprints back and forth and back and forth, their constant running will increase their athletics while your other character(s) gain strength. Once you have about 30k cats you can generally buy enough building materials to build a stone quarry and refinery, so that you can start producing your own building materials. If you're still feeling low on cash, build some wheat fields and a research bench, and research the ability to distill "rum" from your wheat. Currently it is one of the most valuable trade goods we can produce, and it won't take a ton of it to be able to put aside quite a bit of folding money.

All that being said, I myself tend to wander the desert trading until I get all of my (full group of 20) squad members up around 20 attack and defense skills, and then I decide on a faction to make my enemy. Typically by that time you'll have looted armors that aren't terrible, even if they're not very good. Go to a city occupied by the people you want to go to war with, attack the gate guards and run away, until you're a fair distance (about 100 meters) from the city gates and then battle them until you manage to down the six of them. Loot them for everything they're worth, and go to the next town your enemies occupy and repeat the process. Once everyone you can equip is outfitted in the gear of gate guards you move further into the town and lure out some shop guards, they have some of the best gear for selling and equipping that you'll find on NPCs. Only fight the shop guards that aggro to you and never attack the Traders faction, many towns will have a Trade post that will still be friendly to you despite you having ransacked the town.

I found it fairly simple to acquire 300k cats before I decided to settle down and make an outpost the last time I adopted that strategy. Never stop buying the light valuable trade goods, even if you have 100k profit is still easy to get from constantly picking up robotics components, narcotics, and luxury goods to sell for over 100% value.

I have 16 characters, and a fully functional self sufficient town. I just got broke getting there, and i haven't needed money till now... well i still don't need it i just wanted to get some for the plastic surgery feature that's coming. I just can't find an efficient way to get money with out several hours of micromanagement.

Thank's for the ideas. I'll work something out.

Make as much as construction material as possible, you'll just have to sometimes take the guy with the biggest backpack you got, pick-up everything you can in your construction material storage box, and go in town to sell it :)

I'm not too worried about it now. I just make the best Fragmented Axes the game lets me make and sell a bunch of them. Money isn't a problem, i just did it the hard way to get money once and wasn't in the mood to do it again so i just waited till my research capped. Now i'm out slaughtering Holy Empire for fun to train my newest members.

I just have to wait for armor crafting now, my characters already have the best weapons i can get them.
