He's in the town to the north and slight west of the starting town. When you go in the city, it's the left big round dome building.
I think....

That's....uhm....Chris....what did you plan to do with this?
He doesn't actually do anything.
He the 'what do you mean?' option instead.
The conversation should be like this:
Recruitment officer: 'Looking for travelling companions?'
You: 'I am'
You: 'What do you mean?'
You: 'No, wrong place'
'I am' and 'No, wrong place' should end the conversation.
'what do you mean?' Should lead to:
Recruitment officer: 'For a small finders fee of 1000 cats we can set you up with fellow travellers such as yourself who are looking for people to join up with. There is safety in numbers after all, you won't last long in the desert without help.'
You: 'Ok so what do i do?'
Recruitment officer: 'Just wander into any recruitment shop like this one and ask around, you will easily find someone like-minded who is willing to join you.'
You: 'Okay thanks.'
And the dialogue closes, it looks like it's not finished or not working/implemented....
Edit: Just realized that bolding words on this forum sucks, so I underlined and bolded.
Chris can you do something about this? I actually bolded 2 words and underlind 1 in that previous statement, can you tell?

??? I don't see an issue, really. Bold seems to work just fine.SynysterOne wrote: Edit: Just realized that bolding words on this forum sucks, so I underlined and bolded.

On a more related note: the scripting seems pretty light so far. There isn't much dialogue, or any quests, really, but the tools seem to make it pretty easy to add in your own stuff. I'd rather Chris work on a few of the remaining bugs, and maybe adding in new features (like doctors, or a rest command.) Once we have those cleared, it might make more sense to start fleshing out the world a bit more.

My point was that bold isn't as noticeable as it should be. At least not for me, I have a hard time seeing a difference.
Like if you are ranting and raving and going on and on and on, until you have something semi-long like this, like omg wtf bbq sauce why what if you are doing is an illogical sentence structure brain failure2342352 and some #$^@$WS%HS5hfg and maybe a little bit some something like flacinacinhilifilipication.
At least for me, I have a hard time seeing it.
If it's just me, that's fine.
And I wasn't talking about Chris wasting his time with adding dialogue to NPC's, at least not at this stage, he will need to eventually, but that is eventually.

You could try maybe increasing the size of your bold text. Like this:SynysterOne wrote:My point was that bold isn't as noticeable as it should be. At least not for me, I have a hard time seeing a difference.

I am a large, bold, sentence.

That guy is in the town called Shark, he tells you that for a "finders fee" he will hook you up with some like minded individuals. I paid him (or at least I lost cats) and then nothing.....that is what i received nothing. I would guess that the recruitment office will be used to hire experienced minions while the bars have newbie minions.

He doesn't actually take cats from you and the recruitment shop only spawns the normal 'sword for hire' which still takes 700 cats to hire.

i tried during the last patch. It turns out the person does not take your money (I seemed like they did, i am an idiot forgive me). Even after talking to the guys in shark recruitment office you currently cannot hire anyone there.
