What are the most annoying clichés/stereotypes you see in movies?

Can be anything from... the leet (hehe) hacker who types random gibberish on a keyboard and hacks into a system in 10 seconds top... to the amateurish hero who kills hundreds of enemies with his gun, while the bad (trained?) guys can't hit jack.

edit: here's an example for the hacker dude. It's from the movie "unthinkable", so don't watch if you don't want spoiling (not much spoiler here I believe, but better be safe) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkkmtkAO4p0 pause the video at 6 seconds :D

There hasn't been a lot of action in the off topic forum lately :ugeek: so yeah, there you go.
Ties in with my other post: http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... =13&t=4739

That reminds me, the matrix (from the movie Matrix) is just backwards Katakana. (true story)

Insane car jump clichés: The scenes where the hero is able to make an insane jump with a vehicle [ hits a surface ] and is still able to drive the vehicle.

Bomb diffusion: Cut the red wire damn it!

Yes, those cars are insanely robust. The only movie I remember where the car breaks down (and it's used as a punch to that cliché I believe) is Road Trip. Horrible movie except for that snake guy.

 and usually the bomb gets defused in the last seconds... what extraordinary timing :|

Tom Green, the guy who put a rat in his mouth.

Another thing that bothers me is the military in many of the zombie movies. It always seems that the soldiers in zombie movies never wear any sort of face/eye protection.

Yeah he was alright imo :D

It's not even just a problem of wearing some protection...

In most cases the military gets overrun, if you watched The Walking Dead for example, the military was annihilated (for season 1, you can see that in ep1 mostly or in the ep where they get to the Center for Disease Control).

We are talking about the US military here that looses badly against sme slow zombies... but a few amateurs with a few weapons get to survive mostly unmarred through out the whole country for months if not years on end.

This video I watched some time ago is perfect here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yN38y5MILbs no zombies but a lot of different clichés :D

Honestly? When someone is about to die and sacrifice himself and everyone tells him how they love him, how they are great and etc.

Oh, and when there's a beep for any action taken on a computer, such as loading a website. Also, how slow the sites load. I know I had seen one movie or show recently that looked like it was still on dial up.

Then there's the instant 3D models of everything, and the magical image enhancement programs. I think I hate those the most.

That hate turns to love when it's parodied: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6i3NWKbBaaU

One of those typical situations you can find in a lot of action movies is the moment where the bad guy has the hero at his mercy and what does he do? He starts explaining all his plan and how he trapped the hero etc... which obviously gives the hero (or his sidekick) the time to think up an ingenious way to get out of there... in "the incredibles" they called that monologuing

Insert Incredibly slow dipping mechanism with bad tempered sea bass.

but my pet peeve is how they have nearly all women scream hysterically. and i mean the cup the sides of her face and scream while trying to pull out their hair shortly after.

I mean come on, i have never done that even when i was being robbed several times at gunpoint at my old jobs. Never done that when i have seen a dead body, almost didn't do it when i saw a spider. the snake though,
mmmhmmmm that's a different story :P

When main character boy pulls some creepy shit on main character girl like watching her, following, arranging "chance" encounters, showing up at night and it's "OH SO ROMANTIC!!" No. It's not. Call the friggin police before that guy force feeds you a rufee sandwich girl!

I've gotten so sick of the horror movie endings here lately. It's almost always "So finally... It's over... OR IS IT DUN DUN DUN."
Either have it end bad or have it end good already, enough sequel baiting.
