Gender Change at Surgeon(?)

Greetings all,

Would it be possible to enable the male/female button at the surgeon to change existing character's genders? I have a mostly full squad, two short, and I would like to avoid starting a new game for the moment. Also, I do not want to kill off squadies to free up the space.

Any advice or suggestions on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

...one of the stats you can edit is female. I sex-changed three of my characters, and it doesn't appear to have broken my game.

Thanks for the reply Eiron. I hadn't considered really considered just doing a stat edit.

Now that I think of it this post could have been in feature requests.
