I saw a post about adding handcuffs, thought it was great, but wanted to expand that with the head removal posts I have also seen.
If you were able to do both, this could be used in diplomacy as well.... Maybe somthing like a chopping block structure that you could use on that peski dust bandit demanding your hard earned cash. Capture him, slap some cuffs on him for control and march him and his buddys to the block. One by one removing the weight from their shoulders. Collect the heads in a bag and send them back with the survivor to deter a repeat visit...or perhaps prevoke a war..
Or capture a person of note and march him to a city gate in cuffs, put him on his knees and let the guards and people watch me play t-ball to let the people know that you demand that tax money on time, or expect loyalty on a dominated city.
Heads on pikes for deterance, heads for bounties, heads for a coupe de grace, heads for that damn guy who just wont stay down!! and heads for the sheer joy of it!
I also liked the slavery idea, for work or profit.
Im a monster.. Vote heads!
Prisoner handling and diplomacy
Slavery is already confirmed to be implemented someday, so it is likely that you will gain control over your prisoners when this is implemented.
As for decapitations, I'm speculating these might be considered about the same time Chris implements limb dismemberment.

Well, I prefer to give a second opportunity (recruitment).....to those who deserve it, of course.
I'm with you, Dust Bandits deserve to die! But crucifixion is better than cut their head off, and they will look fabulous in your base entrance! So they will die slowly and painfully and will be a great ornament for your base too!

Just.....Fantastic.....
And maybe be able to remove limbs from prisoners too, ya know... for a snack...
I would like to see a means to travel to other cities with prisoners such as chain-gang prisoners, maybe a unit of yours has to harass the group behind with a whip if you want them to run fast. However (when hunger and thirst is implemented) giving them some rest and water would help enable them to keep pace. Dead bounties perhaps don't get the same amount of rewards and live ones.
Also with the chain-gang idea, using a group of prisoners to work on a mine in chains could be another nice feature. Drive them too hard and they die or become less effective, slowing down etc.
The risk could be if your town or outpost is attacked by bandits whom most of the prisoners belong to, they could be freed by the attackers and join in on the fight. Another idea if there is going to be sickness and contagious diseases in the game down the track, is that some prisoners who aren't checked over by a high-skilled medic could possibly get other prisoners and guards infected with something that may not kill them by make them unfit for duty. Other risks could be high skilled or valued prisoners that have influence could start a mutiny among your troops if they are low morale from being hungry and thirsty for too long or often, perhaps been in too many battles, ie. they are weary. So on one hand prisoners made to work can save on man power but comes with risks. Executing prisoners mercilessly could spread through out the land and your reputation could be affected by those who fear or distrust the players fraction. But be too soft with prisoners and perhaps some high-skilled warriors you hired might end up leaving the faction.

Dead bounties already give half the bounty amount as live bounties do.Daza99 wrote:Dead bounties perhaps don't get the same amount of rewards and live ones.
Fairly certain I read somewheres that whenever slavery is implemented, you will be able to use slaves to perform the menial work tasks so as to free up your squad(s) for important stuff.Daza99 wrote:Also with the chain-gang idea, using a group of prisoners to work on a mine in chains could be another nice feature.
