Construction set not saving?

So I am working on stuff, clicked the save button and it didn't save at all. So I am trying to figure out why and still do not know that reason. I searched for an answer, apparently, I am alone in this problem.

Anyone help?

it saves
but the buildings and stuff is for making NPC towns and stuff. It also gets added to the main map crossing over to your other games.
and the ingame construction tool is bugged.

I have only been editing dialogue, so I'll save changes, then to check I will reload the mod and it goes back to vanilla.

I haven't toyed with the in-game set. Followed Chris' quick mod tutorial, not saving though.

Ok, so it is letting me save to the base file, which isn't what I want.

Shit.

click icon at the top left that says new
A popup will open up
input the name you wish for your Mod
Click save

Now click the load icon same area.
Gamedata.base is auto selected,
Select your Mod name
Click Done
Then you can Mod your game and it wont save to the gamedata.base but to your mod.

To Activate your Mod you will need to add in the entire name of your Mod into the file labeled Mods.
I use wordpad to edit.

Selective Mod Double.mod

save Mods.CFG
don't rename the actual file
it stores in your data folder where it belongs

Ok.

I created DialogueRedux.mod file.

Loaded it.

Edited a line of dialogue. Clicked save.

Exited FCS.

Then opened FCS and loaded DialogueRedux.mod

Change was not saved.

I did this same thing with just the base file and it saved the dialogue change just fine. The loading the mod itself and all that other stuff I know how to do. But the FCS is simply not saving when I mod a created file.

i have never edited text in the game.
just squad sizes

Yeah, I see now. I can edit everything except dialogue. That is heart breaking.
