I loved evil genius. I would like to see a game similar to that, but i do not think it will happen.
However, i think the kenshi engine would be great for a remake.
What are your guys thoughts?

you never played evil genius?
One of the super spies was this Brazilian super model that would twerk, causing all you minions to lose their loyalty and defect. You defeated her by "reverse liposuction".
Another one was a rambo guy, who you defeated by exposing him to a chemical that would react to the illegal steroids he was taking.
This isn't even describing the global mischief missions.

Chris already has plans to make another game after Kenshi.
Well not plans per se, but he wants to make that other game.

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.

Hey I never said the game wouldn't be "Evil Kenshi Genius" or something.
There's still hope for you
, but yeah Chris was pretty tight-lipped on his next game...
It doesn't help that when talking he had that "I know something awesome but I'm not gonna tell you until Kenshi is done" smirk

My thoughts are you better get busy modding! Although I can't see offhand how you are going to do the missions. If they get something like that added into Kenshi itself that might be possible.philthymcnasty wrote:What are your guys thoughts?
The base building and AI behavior though I think could be done with A LOT of modding work. I mean you would probably have to throw out the entire base file and start from scratch. But if you have the free time and the drive to do it then it could be done.
Now if you enjoy those base management type of games you might just like Towns and Gnomaria. And of course if you don't care about having real graphics and don't mind a horrid UI then Dwarf Fortress is king of that genre. Also Dwarf Fortress is free and FUN

yeah, that pisses me off a lot. I never bought it.Blxz wrote:Don't buy towns. it has offically been abandoned in alpha by the developers. It will never get better, it will never change, it will never be worth the money I squandered on it.
HOWEVER: Have you looked at your states consumer protection laws? IF steam will not give you your money back, you state may have laws that will not only FORCE them to refund you, but will also force either steam, or the developer to pay TRIPLE damages.
Consumer protection is something everyone needs to be aware of.
I just made a post in another thread about Towns.Blxz wrote:Don't buy towns. it has offically been abandoned in alpha by the developers. It will never get better, it will never change, it will never be worth the money I squandered on it.
I greatly disagree with you. Granted I paid $10 when the game was pretty well brand new in dev rather than the $15 it costs today.
$15 dollars is still about nothing. That would buy you a burger fries and a drink. Towns is easily worth as much even in the last state I played it in. Changed or no.
I'd say the same for Gnomaria. Of course I think that is still being worked on.

I am worried about gnomaria. though, it is getting there.
Its a nice concept, a not so cruel dwarf fortress, with graphics.
I find towns to be pretty un-fun. They have major issues with how they handle food and items along with a range of other things that were promised to be fixed and worked on. It was never done to the developers satisfaction let alone mine.
As for my state, I am not in the US so laws are a little more convoluted, especially when it comes to internet purchases from companies based in other countries. Not that the money troubles me so much; mostly it is the wastage and the risk this exposes in the early access business model.
