As a player, I would like to be able to defend my base of operations more effectively by executing bandits/attackers after they have been knocked unconscious instead of waiting for them to wake up, and attack again.
Having the option, like applying first aid to an enemy, to execute would be very handy as once you defeat someone, they are dead.
Executions

Actually, this has been suggested a couple of times already - you might find this thread interesting:

But yeah, I know it can get annoying when bandits keep waking up and attacking all over again. It's a nice idea but also poses a problem: Introducing the ability to execute will mean that it can also potentially happen to you as well. Which would be frustrating, right?
Perhaps theres a way to counter the annoyances that would come of this.Koomatzu wrote: It's a nice idea but also poses a problem: Introducing the ability to execute will mean that it can also potentially happen to you as well. Which would be frustrating, right?
Maybe instead of an execution, you could critically wound downed enemies, not outright killing them, but putting them into a state where they will certainly die, if they are not helped in a good amount of time.
It would give you time to rescue your guys, and could discourage players from leaving behind their teammates if they are downed by bandits, and could also remove the annoyance of the bandits constantly getting back up.
I do see how there could be problems with this though, Just a suggestion.
*cough*
Thanks for the suggestion Rejex
Personally though, I find that my whole squad gets knocked out LOADS! Especially with the latest update meaning that your wounded characters can't outrun enemies so easily now - so I don't often have spare characters handy to help the others if they're critically wounded. I can't help but think that this would still make it maybe a bit too harsh on the player?

I posted this in previous threads, but having it happen to the player too is right in line with the world in kenshi. The only issue is that it needs more to it, NOT executing someone should be a valid strategy too, for the player, and for the npcs. Executing someone who is already unconcious or in a cage should generate a massive relationship hit, not just with the faction you're doing it to, but everyone based on their relations to them.
Certain bandits may be more vicious than others and as a result also be more likely to be executed themselves. But some bandits may always leave their victims alive once unconcious, and as a result when they are knocked out, they are usually only taken prisoner instead of being executed on the spot. This also solves the issue of it being too hard to die in the world of kenshi once you have enough armor, as you will never hit -100 because of the combination of cut dampening converting dmg to easily healed blunt damage and the overall mitigation. Newer players would have to learn to stay in areas with less vicious bandits to start with... or, simply give bandits ability to demand belongings before resorting to murder, giving characters more ways out of a fight they cant win.
