So now that the game is leaning more towards handling more than a small handfull of units, the AI is going to need some serious tuning.. This has been a problem in the past, and now it's breakingly frustrating..

I am running a game with 100 units, and it is absolutely impossible to manage. It is like herding a damn colony of ants! Unless i put EVERYONE on non-combat, all my units will scatter all over the map trying to engage enemies that are 3km away, so i can't keep them all where they are supposed to be stationed, cuz "Need to protect allies!". Seriously, they're fine. By the time you even get half way there, the enemies will be dead. If i put them all on non-cambat, they'll all be wiped out one at a time as they get ambushed by ninjas.

Some engagement ranges are in dire need here, because I am ripping my hair out trying to get these brainless spazzes to STAY PUT.

What you're describing is an AI bug that ceased when the new pathing came out in the experiemental branch. The exp branch was updated with a 32 bit exec though now, so curiously, are you running the 32 bit app? I could see that happening there, but not on the 64b exec, which is what i'm complaining about. Because in the last 100+ hours of me playing the experiemental in the last month or so, i have never had people stay put unless I had non-combat checked. It has been driving me up the wall.

I'm also going to assume when you say "adventurers" you were referring to having a squad named adventurers, and not the wandering adventurers.. Otherwise it would be perfectly normal, as wandering adventurers aren't considered your allies.

If you're on a 32 bit OS, you're running the 32 bit app. If you're on a 64 bit system, it should be running the 64 bit version... Atleast that would be my understanding.

i have a 64bit system. but after checking the files it seems theres a kenshi file and a kenshi_32 so im guessing the default is the 64 bit one.
