Portraits of the newest characters are not loading

I have 2 squads of 10 warriors (old warriors from an older version of the game)
and a third squad with 2 new characters and since they are only 2 in this squad the icons are much bigger.
But for a reason the portraits are not loading, so i have blank squares.

import into a new game into the newest version.
this usually fixes it for next normal game loading. ( least it did for me )

also try dx9, happens mostly in dx11
