I know that I may have been starting too many threads recently, LOL, but I am just too excited about this game to shut up. Anyways, AAAALLLLL day today I've been researching things like all the layers of tissue in the body, the origins of pain, the purpose of the body's natural responses to stimuli, how wounds heal, different types of wounding and damage to the body, so much stuff it's ridiculous. I may have seen a few too many sickening pictures too...

Anyways, I'm going to publish my findings onto a public Google Document that will be organized once I have found the amount of information that satisfies me.

The purpose of all this as it relates to Kenshi? I really like the medical treatment side of this game, and hope to give so much information as a reference that it is almost sickening.

EDIT: HERE IS THE RESULT OF ALL THIS DAY'S HARD WORK!

thought there was going to be.

splinting is a start. bandaging is already there. eventually you will have to go get medical treatment and have prosthetics........ :(

Wait, are you talking about like... in-game medical research? Because I'm talking about medical research that I did myself to bring realistic ideas in. I know that those features will already be in the game though.

the ice and stuff is a great idea, i've played dwarf fortress and i know where you are going with the skin layers but i don't think they went far enough to treat stuff with ice, only bandage and splints. this would be an awesome addtion to this game except for the fact that as far as we know they is no ice, (but this doesn't mean there will be during winter  )
I'M BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know what I'm thinking of doing? I think I'm going to program a very basic text-based proof of concept where you have a "dummy" and you apply blunt force or cutting force onto different parts of his body and see how they all affect him together. It wouldn't necessarily be applicable only to this game, as I've been wanting a system in a game like this for a long time, but it would sure be cool in this game.

Shops. Medkits are the white medkits and splint kits are the brownish/greyish medkits. I think its the shop with the little guy with a walking stick on the sign.

Odd, might have been a bug. Is this squad old, from before the splints were included? I can't remember if they just appeared automatically for me or if I imported into a new game. Probably the latter.
