Unable to go up stairs

I'm not sure what's really up, but recently when I play Kenshi I try to go up any of the stairs, about 90% of the time, my character stops running right at the base or a few steps up the stairs. I'm not sure what's causing it, but I feel like it might be a problem with the way that the stairs are set up in the environment? It's odd because it's a common issue in the game for me... Is this happening to anyone else? Or did I break the game?

Other than that, this is an awesome game I got a bag full of swords and armor I looted and trying to sell them, but alas I am having this stairs problem so I can only sell the stuff at the first town where they have a armor/clothing store without any stairs to the entrance...

UPDATE:
So it turns out that some stairs if I wait patiently and give my character a lot of time in running in place, they eventually get up the stairs, some take longer than others, some just don't work at all...

Possibly due to low frame rate? This will be fixed in the next update.

It doesn't seem to be lag, if I click different areas he'll immediately move away from the stairs. And if I click up the stairs in different places, it's as if he's running into a wall basically. I want to explain it in more detail so it can help you out more, but I just honestly don't know how to explain it...

Don't worry about it, the next update will have a completely new movement and pathfinding system.

I've also been having this issue, but have found a workaround. Alt+tab out of Kenshi after giving the order to enter a building and your characters will be inside upon opening the Kenshi window again.

I've been using that as a solution as well, I guess I should've pointed that out earlier.. ^_^;;

I get this often, and for me it is always because I have the speed set to something other than the normal setting. I change it to normal and they have no problem. Hope this helps.
