So far, I've played ~45 hours more or less fine. The game had crashed maybe 8-10 tops in this time. So, a fairly minor inconvenience if it only happened every few hours. Now though, the game has started crashing every 5-10 minutes. I am in running mods, but so far they haven't seemed to be a problem before now. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but lately I've begun getting raided by band of bones people. I'm pretty sure the crashing started around when they first showed up. Posting this to the steam forums too so that I can get help with this as quick as possible.

Specs:
Processor: i7-3770 @ 3.4 ghz
GPU: gtx 1060 6gb
RAM: 8 gb DDR3-1600

No crashfile was generated so I included both the kenshi.txt and kenshi_info.txt

Pretty much the same for me but the fog island set mine off, does it sort of just stutter and then crash with no crashdump?

Yup, I always know it's about to crash because it will stutter once or twice and the sound just stops. Then, bam! The game closes with no crashfile.

Have you tried to play the game with the reduced textures mod and without 256 ppl limit mod?

Used the reduced textures mod but not the 256 limit mod, didn't help for me personally though.

I only had 15 people under my command total though, so I doubt it's the mod here in this case. I didn't have 200 guys running all around in different parts of the map, I only had my 15 guys all in one spot in the border zone.

I have't verified that, but I assume that this mod also affects AI squads' size. Also several people have noticed game crashes with this, just try playing without it and say if game still crash.

I used to have a similar issue. per the devs, "game crashes are usually due to running out of video memory" so reduce your video settings and see what happens.
I have the amount of grass turned way down cause really we can't eat it so it's just for show.

I play with over 230 characters in my games on a much weaker computer with no problems.
So I'm guessing it's one of the hundred modes you have.
I only use 1 that I didn't' write myself and only 4 total.

Well, I'd rather not play without the mods, but if the choice is that or constant crashes, I'll give it a try. I'll also keep a resource monitor open to keep track of amount of used memory.

Question though, can I import my current save, removing all the mods, to make it vanilla? Will this just cause more problems and I should just start a fresh vanilla? Either way, I'll report back here to let ya guys know.

also try a program called dependency walker.

Will do, but about that import question? I really don't want to have to start a fresh start if I could simply go on with my current save, just without mods if I simply import. But, I also don't want to assume it'll just work and now there's all sorts of new problems from removing mods.

So, can I turn my modded save into a vanilla save by turning off all mods and importing the save? I'd much prefer to test this out that way, rather than play a few hours of a save I'll never touch after this whole thing is over.

unless it adds something that's not in the game normally, then you should be fine.

Well, after trying for a good chunk of yesterday and today to make vanilla kenshi crash, it didn't, not once. The game only used up about half of my RAM and a third of my VRAM at most, so it wasn't memory issues. I guess it really was just one of the mods this whole time. I just don't understand how it could run fine for dozens of hours and then break the game. But that's just how it is, time to scale back the mods.

that happens in any game where you have large amount of mods in use.
it adds strain to the game and can lead to crashes.

you also just got a primary view as to why the Dev stopped adding more to the game.

I had like that which 36 guys, 27 in my base doing jobs, 3 in mongrel and the rest in stoat doing their jobs. Game was crashing rly often, from 1 min to 30 min max. Almoste always when i was doing anything at full speed, sometimes when jumping from location to location. I moved all my guys to 1 spot, stoped production and went adventuring. No more crashes. Im using some mods still. This game doesnt like few separete places + lots of auto-job + speed x3. To be honest i didnt turn off all my mods, just some on/off. for testing.

EDIT:
Im using 2 monitors normaly, but now im disabling one to play kenshi. Looks like it may help.
Sorry for my bad english.
