Kenshi now has a donation campaign going on IndieGoGo. Help if you can by spreading the word, there's some cool rewards to earn too!

Let me know if you have any comments or suggestions on the rewards ideas.

if you take one of the $50 or more, do you get in the credits?
it's not clearly told there (or i missed it :? )

i thought someone paying $100 for his npc for example should also get in the credits, especially someone paying $2000 for his own faction...

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.

Nice, will be donating when not broke.

Idea 1: One idea could be that if you reach your goal of $40k (USD?) or half-way $20k then the people of Kenshi will have bees. (a consumable with the power to kill hunger).

Idea 2: Limited edition Capitan death beard beard, 'cause everyone needs a beard.

Idea 3: I have no idea.

Side note: How much do I need to donate for new world order?

Those are great rewards, I think. It's 100 times better to be integrated into the game rather than get some sort of stupid T-Shirt. I'd be awesome to be a major NPC.

Chris you need another $10 or $15 tier that's just a copy of the game. $25 is a fairly high starting point (since 5 doesn't count outside of pure donation), and when this starts getting picked up by gaming mags you'll get alot more donations with the lower opening pledge.

Just my 2 cents or pence.

I dunno about how successful this will be. But hell the worst that could happen is nothing happens at the end of 60 days then back to business as usual. In the mean time I suppose we need to spread the word ourselves.

I'm not sure how Indiegogo works but if they've modeled themselves after kickstarter then he only gets the money if he hits the goal.

Indiegogo is like Kickstarter, except with the option of getting the money regardless of whether the goal is met or not.

As Cespius said, indiegogo has both funding strategies.
If you look below the days left, you'll see this:

Flexible Funding campaign
This campaign will receive all of the funds contributed by Sun Jul 01 at 11:59PM PT.

This is best for funding a game for example (where each penny counts regardless of reaching the goal).

There's also a fixed funding campaign model (similar to the kickstarter model) but that one would be more appropriate for a project that will only be realized if the monetary goal is reached (eg a journey or such)

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.

I wish you the best of luck man but I would seriously consider reworking your reward tiers. At the current time there is nothing all that appealing and as stated $25 for the game is very steep considering it is being sold for $10. Maybe add some tiers with bonus pledger cosmetics for the game etc.

If you gentlemen read the fine print on the page it says a purchase of 10$ is enough to get the game so you can in effect just select donate without perk and put 10$ down.

My question to Chris is, if I order the 100$ package do i get all the perks from the 10-25-50$ packages as well?

Things to note:
All perks from $10 upwards come with a key code for the full game. HOWEVER, [...] you won't get your game key until the end of the 60-day funding period.

All perks from $25 up get their name in the credits.

SO you do get a game key for 10$ and above
and if you take the 100$ perk you do get into the credits (not sure if you get the 50$ perk)

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.

From the $500 - $2,000 ideas, they seem cool but I am not sure that they will really be chosen. Perhaps there could be some sort of special "milestone" perks implemented. By that I mean that you can split the 60days/$40k into several "milestones" (In addition to the prize per donation) and after each milestone is reached you can implement some special game enhancement(Or something else).
Example:
$5k reached: bees is added to game.
$10k reached: Jar of *CENSORED* added to game.
$20k reached: Extra skill created!
$30k Ability to harness the awesome power of spirytus (Cause thats what I did this weekend) :D

To me the ideas sounded amazing for the $500 - $2,000, but in these economic times I do believe that not many people will be picking these choices. Perhaps more variation can be created between the $10 - $100 levels (i.e. adding multiple prize choices per level of donation).

Side note: It is amazing however, that the perks available are actually adding the Kenshi fans into the game. (via image, name or idea) Damn good public relations!

Maybe a new thing (like, 5,000 or just 1,500) would be the option to choose what he works on next, as long as it isn't something that goes against everything the game stands for as a whole (like saving the game).
