Hello! I have been playing Kenshi quite a bit recently, and after a large group of bandits attacked, most of my units were downed. After carrying my fallen units back to a town in multiple trips, I thought of something that would be nice to have, and would fit into the universe well. Rickshaws! Or wagons to carry people or bodies so that I wouldn't have to take my few units back and forth to take my downed units to a safe place.

I may be mistaken, but I think Chris has said that 'no vehicles' is to be a part of kenshi. Sure a rickshaw isn't quite a vehicle in the sense of a powered vehicle or a mount, but I am certain that he said he wanted traders to carry things in backpacks and so on and so forth. Carrying bodies just seems like another hazard and a reason to develop a safe stronghold somewhere out in the wastes.

Actually, I agree with Velsphar. Having a medic of your squad continuously carry a stretcher so that when a man drops you have the option to sacrifice two of your squad to transport the fallen more quickly, would be great. Imagine if some components of building a structure are to large for a single person, and you had to carry it out to the site with stretchers. This would make actually building a risky event, you have to weaken the fighting ability (or healing ability) of your squad to move certain valuable supplies. It would also make building a more dynamic event. You would have to mark the location and guard the supplies until your building is finished. This would also give the opportunity for less scrupulous players to raid peaceful NPC builders for building parts.

The stretcher could fit in the large weapon slot and be displayed on the back of the character (wrapped up horizontally for example) when not in use. You could use a similar device (like a chain) for harnessing a dog for example for tracking, or pull prisoners or slaves.

Now, I do think that 'Wheeled' devices are more dubious and conflict with the theme as I see it, and mounts (at least in the traditional sense) are a bad idea.

People can already run when carrying fallen units, perhaps a stretcher can lower the amount of fatigue
when running while carrying.

Although relevent, Velsphar`s post was not about speed nor endurance. it was about having to go back and forth because you can only carry one body. A stretcher would'nt accomplish that infact it would do the opposite (needing 2 people), unless your stacking the injured on top of each other. A wagon no the other hand is pulled & balanced on the wheels, so it can carry more bodies with less people in use. Or, perhap characters with high strength can carry two people one on each shoulder, could work as well.

Pile bodies on a donkey maybe? Or a giant Komoto beast? I just dont think a wheeled cart would do to well in a world with no roads.

Hmmm...giant Komoto beast.

No tie them together and then drag the corpse snake.

This would also serve to attract the aforementioned Komoto War Beast. Perfect, ship it.

I plan to eventually have something like pack mules. They will have a big inventory and be able to carry several bodies. Also the one strong guy carrying 2 bodies is on my list too.

Awesome!

I really look forward to seeing strength as an enabler to do more difficult things.

EXAMPLE: if you were to enable dual wielding (example only),a weaker character can probably only dual wield two one-handed katanas. However, a really really powerful character (strength level 99?) can dual wield heavy weapons.

I also look forward to seeing stronger characters being able to carry more, move faster, and maybe even knock around weaker and smaller characters with pushes, kicks or punches.
It'd be really cool to see a super powerful character launching the bodies of weaker characters in a fight. Maybe strength should influence the impact of a blow, which can then lead to people flying away?

TLDR: I just really want to send bodies into orbit.
Planks are best!

It already is, I have seen my characters attack rate with heavy weapons increase as his strength did. But dual wielding? A mk III fragment ax from Truth weighs in at 57 kilos. Thats 125 pounds. I don't think humans grow big enough to double wield that.

Encumbrance will change a lot.

Hi only been playing for a day now but can't stop lol so fun but here are some things I thought would improve gameplay

1. citizens- you could mug them, pick pocket them, or recruit them :D maybe even watch a brawl or two?

2. pack mules- some sort of carrying object where its easier than 50 people with back packs lol just a thought though

3. ability to recruit or bribe shop guards and conscripts- if you fail they fight you so ya its a win lose situation lol more money = better chance

4. archery and fletchery- id like to be able to shoot a bow and make some arrows out of wood if its possible

5. smithing- says it all lol

6. big battles- have like idk sieges and such or like two armies fighting eachother like a empire and a rebellion thingy idk

to end it off i hope these are implemented if not i love the game either way well worth 10$ so thanks for the game

All of those are expected to make it into the game at some point.

Perhaps a better solution would be the ability to run to the town and get help or send a flare or get locals to help.
